What to wear with black otk socks?

NO.1. Ask :
What to wear with black otk socks?
Hope everyone's okay, flying visit!
Have just ordered some black otk socks from asos because I've seen a few people wearing them and they look fab!
I've not really looked at the shoes etc though, so dont have a clue what they'd go with! I'm thinking specifically what colour and type of soe would go (as well as the actual outfit?)
I'm looking for night out outfits really as oppose to the wearing with trainers look.
All ideas appreciated!

Answer:
Hi smoothie! Hope you are well! I just wore mine as follows:
over Cadbury purple tights with
patent mustard T-bar Slam-like shoes
black sleeveless jumper dress
mustard long sleeve tee
dangly purple bead earrings
chunky purple beal bracelet
Not sure if that is inspiring, but I thought it was kind of funky. :)
Answer:
I really like the idea of wearing otk socks with knee high boots and a skirt... Not got round to trying it yet though.
Answer:
i wear mine with mini skirts, either over sheer tights to hold them up or over coloured tights.
in terms of footwear i wear them with mary janes, wedges/platforms, brogues, ankle boots, calf boots... pretty much anything.
i usually team them with cute cardis on top, or minidresses.
they are pretty versatile really. :D
Answer:
I can imaging the shelley's brown slouchy boots and a pair of short shorts (probably fairly slouchy ones) looking good with the socks...you could always wear black tights too.

    This season's fashion trends
I'm not into the latest fashion so I don't have a great knowledge on whats what. I am just filing a topshop job application form and one of he questions is 'What are the 3 main fashion trends this season' and I have no idea on what they are! Can someone tell me please? Thanks
    Answer:
I'm not being rude but surely if you're applying for a job in TS you should ideally be into fashion? Or am I missing the point here....?
    Answer:
    Hi
If you look on the TopShop homepage, you can view their collections e.g. Zanibar, San Fran, Plastic etc. it gives you a brief overview of where the inspiration from their collections have come from, this will give you a starting point for your 3 fashion trends answer.
    Good luck.

I knew someone say something like that - i was expecting it! lol
I actually work in retail at the mo, mainly on the menside so I don't really know too much about ladies fashion and have been away on holiday so not upto date at the new lines at work. Does that make sense?

I'm off to Glastonbury this year :whoop: :whoop: and need some inspiration!
So to those off to a festival this summer, what will you be buying/wearing?!
    Answer:
    Hi Cheesechips
I'm off to Isle of Wight (wanted Glasto but couldn't make that weekend :() and went to Glasto 05!
I'm off shopping, hopefully Camden market, tomorrow to get some extras. But I'm going full on hippy this year.
Flowery maxi dress - yet to be bought!
2 or 3 short skirts, gypsy blouses, tunics, kaftans, flat sandals, wellies painted with flowers, headscarves, big sunglasses, lots of beads, braided hair, and of course I'm taking the waterproofs just in case!
    What about you?
    Answer:
I'm not going to Glastonbury this year but am going to the Connect Music Festival in Scotland at the end of the summer so I've been thinking about clothing.
I always tend to feel the cold on the nights at festivals, no matter how warm it has been so I've usually stuck with jeans (usually flared!) or combat type trousers (not particularly fashionable these days I know but so practical with all those pockets) with a t-shirt or vest and then a hooded top for the night.
I might try to brave leggings under a dress this year if the weather isn't too bad. But I always worry about stuff getting ruined or stolen so don't tend to buy anything new.

I know what you mean, fortunatley nothing I buy ever costs that much anyway on account of me being a mean stingy, and I know i'll only wear nice dresses etc during the day and only if it's sunny! :D

I'm going to order a couple of tops. Any idea what the sizing is like please? I want to order a couple of sweatshirts and have them kind of sloppy.
    :thanks:
    Answer:
i think it runs slightly small - my sweatshirt is a Medium
which ones are you getting? :heyhey:
    Answer:
    Thanks tiger ;)
I wanted a "I love shopping and shopping loves me" one but its out of stock plus I'm shamelessly copying you and getting an "I'm with stupid" one! :D
    Answer:
I've got a hoodie from there in medium and it's definitely not roomy (I'm a size 12), but also not tight.

The only thing I would say though, is that I struggle to get it over my head (I've actually got a rather small head!), especially when taking it off as there's not really much give around the neck, cuffs etc. Means I don't wear it much because I get really claustrophbic if it gets stuck on my head!

It's so soft and snuggly though!
    Answer:
    hey
just to reiterate what the others have said, i emailed them regarding sizes (i'm after the ballet pumps one) and he said that they do run small so prob size up

Marie Claire ZPM make up bags
    Answer:
Company have some ASOS ones too - might not be as good as KG, but they have done me good the past two weeks, I love them X
    Answer:
i'm sooo getting LK Bennett ones - I am currently sitting here in a pair of lk Bennets free with in style - this time last year.
    still going strong !! :D
    Answer:
I got the KG ones and the ASOS ones - I gave the KG ones to my mum though, I'm nice like that.
    Answer:
The Glamour flipflops are pants. The soles are really thin and the rubber strap is thin and flimsy. Glamour itself is pants this month - just full of interviews with "women of the year" or whatever. Great if you like celeb interviews; not so great if you want to read a fashion manazine.
