Designer sunnies - are they worth it?

NO.1. Ask :
Designer sunnies - are they worth it?
Title’s rather self explanatory really, I was wondering if there are any other designer sunglasses virgins deliberating over whether they’ll be any more careful with an expensive pair? I’ve got my eye on the Fendi B Buckle aviators in black and dark brown but the only shades I’ve ever had have been £5 jobs from HM which have all met their tragic end within 3 months.
The Fendis aren’t obscenely expensive - £166 – but perhaps I am just trying to talk myself into buying them because despite owning a B bag, I never liked the belt so need to accessorise! Thanks for any help.
Answer:
I'd say if they're a shape/style that you can't find elsewhere or a cheaper alternative, then yes but the most important thing regardless of brand is that whichever you buy, make sure they're up to the correct protection standards.
Answer:
IMO no, I always end up scratching, losing or sitting on them, so I buy a new pair every summer and they last.
Its up to you chick but i would happily spend the extra money elsewhere?
Answer:
Yes they are worth it,
Expensive shades = mucho coolio
Answer:
If I spend £100-200 on a pair of sunnies I make extra effort not to sit on them  For me sunglasses are like bags - I'd rather have fewer more expensive pairs but if you think you are talking yourself into a purchase then I'd say wait till you find something you love.

    Advice-need tummy flattening undies!
Hi, I don't often ask for help in fashion but seeing as this is for a wedding I need help! :o I've got a wedding to go to in july and have realised even though the dress I brought is lovely, I seriously look preganant right now :( I'll be going on a diet asap to try and loose a few pounds. But even then, I'll be needing some undies to help too!
I'm on a tight budget still, so what could i buy that won't break the bank? my stomach is my worst area right now, so any help would be great :)

    Answer:
only corsetry will pull you in - something like a waspie will give you a good waist. If you just want your lumps and bumps smoothing over then there are various magic knickers on the market - MS, Trinny Susannah and Spanx being the best known. Best bet is to go for something high waisted (ie up to the bottom of your bra) so that you don't get overspill. John Lewis has a great range and personally I'd say Spanx are the best but you need to work out what suits you and what's going to be more comfortable.
    Answer:
I've got (3rd one down on page 2)
It's amazing. It holds you in without anything splurging over the top
It's really stretchy so very easy to get on and on. My tummy looks flatter, waist more defined and bum more lifted in these :D
    Answer:
MS magic knickers will pull you in about 4cms on your tummy, bum and thighs if you go for the cycle shorts. but they do a string and high-leg as well. they are priced at around £20.

Saw some in Marks n Sparkles today for 16 quid I think. I was thinking I may need some post pregnancy myself!

Red dress needed for 'A list' event - any suggestions?
    Hi there,
Has anyone spotted the perfect red dress? I am a size 8-10, 5'3" and 34B I need a very sexy red dress to wear for an event in August.
I have quite short legs, so I am looking for a on the knee/just above the knee style, as I think I am easily swamped by long dresses and calf length ones just chop my already short legs in half!
I'd like to find the dress from a small boutique or small lesser known brand rather than the main high street shops, as I really don't want to turn up in the same thing as anyone else!
Any suggestions or ideas gratefully received - I'd like to make the most of my arms/shoulders and steer clear of anything too satiny/shiny that will create or enhance any lumps bumps!
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!
    xx Candi
    Answer:
Hi, I know you said you'd rather avoid high street shops, but there is a lovely red dress in Coast that is about knee length. It's a shift dress and has a high waist belt. The only thing is, Geri Halliwell was pictured wearing it to David Beckham's birthday do, so it may have become popular after that. I haven't really seen many red dresses in smaller shops, just in the high street ones like Zara etc x
    Answer:
Hmmm. I haven't really seen many red dresses around recently. How about trying somewhere like , for example might have something, although the only red dresses there at present are prob. too casual for what you want. I think had a red dress too.
Other than that, all I can suggest is ransacking your local charity/vintagey shops! I have a most gorgeous, Bond-girl sexy red silk dress from Oasis that I found in a charity shop :D

    Answer:
Do you have a budget at all? There are some red dresses on Matches website and a couple on Browns.
