London Baggers - I need your opinions!
I'm more than likely moving into London for career purposes in the next few months and I have 4 possible locations, one of them being the Cyprus area, close to LCY. I've heard that the borough which Cyprus is in is one of the worst places to live in the UK, is it really that bad?
The other locations were Harrow, Greenwich and somewhere in the Barnet area. I havent heard much about these areas.

you mean near Cyprus station?Its rough and ready bt not that bad tbh.Greenwich is very nice but has rough areas,Barnet is also nice but quite a bit further out and Harrow is just Harrow,my choices in order of prefernce would be;

My colleague lives in Barnet and likes it, Greenwich is pretty cool (esp living on the river).

That's what I thought too - I've lived here 11 years and never heard of it , but its apparently a station on the DLR. I've never heard anyone call the area that.
Greenwich would definitely be my first choice amongst those areas although it depends where you are going to be working. Harrow is pretty far out to the north west and isn't really London - you'd be paying a lot for your travel if you needed to get into central London from there, although rent/property would be cheaper but you probably wouldn't get the full experience of living in London.

Really depends on where you are going to be working, like PC said. you couldn't get more spread out than those places you've mentioned.
Greenwich is my favourite, it's pretty expensive to live there though so I wonder what area in particular. Up on Blackheath is the nicest IMO but Greenwich borough covers Eltham, Mottingham, Lee etc etc so maybe find out where in particular.
Harrow is a long way out but a nice area. Barnet is quite a big area so again, would depend on what bit you was talking about, it's handy for tubes though.

ETA - Just asked him, Cyprus is by City airport, by Becton. I wouldn't call it the worse place to live in England, there's sod all there really so don't know what the dangerous bit is? lol.

i don't think they do but you can usually get jeans in short lengths anyway which arent in petite range , depend on your height though

No I don't think they make you look shorter, though they do tend to look better with heels anyway I think. I get mine from Gap (ankle fit) but they never seem to have many pairs for some reason arghhh - the western bootcut dark denim are my favourites; Principles - these are okay; or Next if I'm desperate.

i wear bootcut and kick flare and think they look fab with killer heels!!
i tend to buy from new look teenagers range as well as they are very comfy and fit fab, plus arent too long for us shorties!

Just opened some word documents which were fine on my pc at work, but now they have weird symbols all over them, including a dot between every word. Does anyone know how I can fix this?? Think I had a similar problem with my old laptop but can’t remember how I fixed it!

When you close the documents and open them again does it still happen?
What about restarting your PC? Microsoft Word may be performing some kind of "illegal operation".

Thanks for the reply, I've tried restarting my laptop but it hasn't made a difference. It's the same when I open a new document too. Very frustrating cos I've got lots of work I could do with doing this weekend!

Hi, sorry for the confusing title but I don't know what to do really. A few months ago my friend bought me this lovely leather bag that I'd been admiring, she bought it me as a present as I went with her to the hospital when she had to have an operation in February. Its a light stone coloured here which I can just get on my shoulder. I decided to use it in the summer months and go back to my black one in the winter. I have been using it ever since she bought it for me, for work and everything.
However, I am now finding it a bit impractical to use all the time. With it being so light it is looking dirty by using it a lot and I find I am better using a bag with a long shoulder strap when I have heavy shopping to carry. I am now thinking of using it more for days out when I have no shopping or for special occasions. I have bought myself a shoulder bag today which is just ideal for every day usek, its not real leather and is just practical for work and everyday. However, I don't want to offend my friend by her seeing me with a different bag. I do fully intend to keep using the one she bought me but just not every day. She is the type of person who gets fed up of bags all the time anyway, she can spend a fortune on a bag and get bored with it after a month and buy another one and never use the original one again so I'm sure she'd understand my need not to stick to just the one bag.
My question is basically how can I use my other practical bag without offending her and do you use different bags for different purposes or do you just use one bag all the time?

I really wouldnt think she would be offended - bags have different purposes and uses. She's seen you use it, she knows you chose it. I wont worry.

As the other girls said your friend will understand, most girls have lots of bags and change them all the time. I find shoulder bags more practical for day to day use too but all bags have their place!
