F.A.O. Pops re. J Brand

You know last month you ordered some J Brand skinnies from Revolve. What were they like and are they true to size? I've been eyeing up some wide leg/bootcut and can't decide between Goldsign and J Brand.
I've already got a couple of pairs of straight leg Goldsigns and I love them, but I like the look of the J Brand ones too. I'm trying to be good and just order one pair :rolleyes:

I have three pairs of straight leg J Brands with one more on it's way (the Lovestory flares).
I'd say they're pretty true to size, but they do vary with the cut/wash I think. My ink and black straight legs are a perfect fit on me, but the natural coloured ones are a bit smaller so are for non-bloat days only! I also ordered a striped pair of skinnies, but they were tiny and I couldn't even get them past my knees!
All my J Brands are size 25 and I am a size 8-10 on bottom with 34" hips (if that's any use, or just tmi... ;) )

I've been looking at the J Brand Lovestory Wide Leg in Dark Vintage (must be catching :lol: ) and the GoldSign Passion Bootcut in Bora.
It's weird isn't it how much the sizes vary, even in the same brand. I used to take a 26/27 but stopping smoking and HRT has made me gain some weight and I'm a 27/28 now. My old favourite jeans don't fit me anymore :boohoo: Good excuse to buy some more though :D

Well they arrived this morning, as I was on my way out the door. In the interests of research, I nipped back in to try them on. Only to end up late for work. :cmdunno:
They feel a wee bit tight, so might size up. It's really weird from having worn straight legs for so long to go to flared, and they're quite a big flare too. I'm not 100% about them, it wasn't love at first sight, but I'll try them on properly with shoes (probably wedges) tonight.
Can post pics if you want? And it might be good to get opinions on them anyway...

It's a size 12, and I'm normally a 12 too, but am a bit unsure of what the sizing is like with this top as it was last years stock and I'm used to wearing smocks and tees.
If anyone has this, or tried it on, I will be muchly grateful for any help!

I think I remember trying this on. It is a goregous top but I think that the reason I didn't get it is that it comes up relatively short and I have a longish body/flabby stomach so I didn't feel comfortable.
I am size 12 and the sizing was very true - loose fitted if that makes sense?!

Mine was true to size, but i bought it from the tall range as I too am long in the body.
I also wear it with high waisted jeans/skirts and with thin vests underneath.

I'm looking for some inspiration.. I have bought a dress and it really does need a black waist belt.. I think the elasticated ones would be best - but I havent seen any wide (ish) ones about .. It needs to be pretty plain, or with cream or gold on it.
Any suggestions as to where to look next?

Hi, this is probably a daft question....but :o do I need to buy a bra a cup size bigger, in order to wear chicken fillets? My sister has given me some (not used)-but i'm unsure if i can simply use my normal bras, or do i need to buy new bigger bras?

Try them in your normal bra first (although the bra might stretch so don't pick your best one when you try the chicken fillets for the first time :cmdunno: ). But you might have to buy a bigger bra (one cup size bigger should be ok) to feel comfortable.

It depends on the size of the enhancers. It is better to wear your normal bra size if it will accomodate the enhancers, not only because its likely to make to most of what you have and give you a fuller looking bust but also your want to ensure the enhancers are held securely in place which a bigger bra may not do.
