OH's dress sense
This is going to probably sound really shallow, but my boy has awful dress sense. When we go out, it's not too bad because I hint or suggest outfit choices but normally he looks like a bit of a tramp :o (think old tracksuit bottoms, scruffy trainers... and not in an old skool, retro way).
When he does wear jeans, they never seem to fit him properly and always look to baggy or/and too short. The only decent pair he has that make him look good :heyhey: are the ones *I* picked for him to try on :cmdunno:. Ditto with the coat he seems to love so much... it's way too big for him and looks like a tent. Yet he has a nice one that fits him really well and looks good :confused:
He's quite tall but also really skinny, and doesn't really buy into fashion much anyway, jeez the struggle I had trying to convince him to try on a scarf :rolleyes: Turned out that he really liked it and I got it him for Christmas and he hardly took it off!
I'm just a bit like this :meh: when he's ready to go out for the day when he's dressed like this, especially when I feel like I've made an effort to look ok :boohoo:
Anyone else in a similar situation? Or any advice?

Mr Pink is a total tramp really he always wears scruffbag trackies and t-shirts, he's always working out so tends to be in that sort of gear mostly. He has nice clothes though and so when we go out he just says ' tell me what to wear' it sounds really sad but he's not bothered what he wears really providing it suits him, so I tell him what to put on he looks good, we both look stylish et voila happy couple.. You should try it..keep buying him clothes you can't expect that if he's not with you he'll dress for you but when you're together just suggest what he should wear...if its important to you he'll do it.

You have to be very careful not to hurt him, obviously. I'd use positive statements like 'you'd look great in x' or 'y would really suit your body shape so well'. If you can get him to come shopping with you, that's a great way of helping him choose clothes that look better. Tell him when things look good and include the why in the compliment e.g. 'That jumper looks great on you - the shape of the neck makes your shoulders look broad' ... 'The colour of that t-shirt makes you look really tanned' etc.
At the end of the day though, you've got to love the man inside the clothes. His style will develop but gradually so you do need to still be happy about who he is and look past the fashion mistakes now and then.

ah its not mean...she just wants him to look good and that's understandable. I love Mr Pink with every bone in my body but he has no style and that's just being truthful it doesnt mean I love him any less at all.

Hi! have seen some celebs wearing bright yellow or bright red skinny jeans.. any one know where i would get them from?
what colour would you wear with the red ones? I was thinking grey? cant wear white, youll look like england flag, cant wear green - look xmasie, cant wear yellow - mcdonalds, cant wear black - denis the menis, hmmm i guess you could mix navy and white?
I think the yellow ones would be easier to wear?

I have seen the red ones and they are nice. Not me but really nice on. Yellow would be easier to wear on your bottom than on your top if you are a bit on the sallow side. Yellow makes me look jaundiced!

There is the cutest pair of red flats in Clarkes, they're £40 bit pricey but worth it IMHO. Bloody flash site can't post a link but they're called Cocoa Creme on the smart womens shoes section. In cream, red and another colour I can't remember.

I am in desperate need of a new shrug...my favourite one is literally falling apart at the seams! I bought it it in warehouse 2 years ago but they dont have any in.
