I'm not really a jewellery person but I would like a nice silver necklace and I was thinking of something from Tiffany- any recs? I want somthing fun yet classic.

There are some lovely simple pieces - check out the website as it has quite a good search facility (you can search by metal, type price). I like the Elsa Peretti pieces - there are some nice initial chains.
I'd suggest avoiding the obviously branded stuff as it is copied too often :mad: - I don't wear any of my branded bits anymore as I feel I look a bit chav in them :(

I dont have an AH bag but I still dont take plastic bags if I dont need one, although it seems rather pointless when you tell the Primark assistant you dont need the bag and she screws it up and puts it in the bin :rolleyes:

Why not just use it for the next customer?!! That makes no sense whatsoever!
I try to double up purchases in the the bags I already have. I always re-use my carrier bags to line my wastebin in my bedroom though so they never go to waste really.

I often don't take the bag when I'm shopping if I know I'll be getting a bit I usually take a shopper style bag and just put it all in there. We have 'green' bags for food shopping. in fact we're a plastic bag free house

Yeah really pissed me off, seemed a tad..... stupid :meh:
I also use them for the bins, pretty handy when your in a shared house as big bin bags tend to get smelly and you avoid wasting all the little ones.

I have been reading an article about Princess Di and how stylish she was and I have to say I agree. I was sixteen when she died so therefore although she was always in the papers when I was growing up I was doing just that busy growing up and so didnt pay attention to her really. However looking at her now through adult and fashion obsessed eyes I do think she really was very stylish..

For her time, I do think she was very stylish - in spite of being a royal, you could tell she still had her own saying in the fashion stakes and you could see her true style coming through.
From her hairstyle/cut to her clothes, shoes and bags, she was defo an icon during those years.

She really was wasn't she..if you compare her say to Sophie now who must be around the same age or even ' princess in waiting' Kate Middleton there must be ten/twelve years between Sophie and Kate and they dress exactly the same. Like a royal ought to. Diana really dressed how she wanted and expressed her own style which was quite brave I think..

Yes definitely, looking at pics of her now she looked so real compared to the size 0 celebs today. Were she still alive I'd want the designer bag she was carrying, not the one Nicole Richie or Paris Hilton carries. Fashion is faster moving now than it was 10 years ago, her style was more timeless than trend based but I could see her keeping up, wearing a pair of Rock and Republic jeans maybe.

She wore quite contemporary designers, like Catherine Walker and Galliano. She also carried 'it' bags like the Lady Dior bag.
Her hair was quite stylish for the time, much better than that 'Shy Di' do she has when she married Charles.
