J Brand Love Story jeans

NO.1. Ask :
J Brand Love Story jeans
Has anyone got these?
I think it was love2shop1 who bought them but sent them back...
I really fancy a pair (even though I'm a shortie who will need to have them taken up by about a gazillion inches )
Obv. buying them from revolve who be the cheapest option but I wasn't sure about the colour of the demin, on revolve it looks a bit faded/washed out denim.
They have them on mywardrobe.com and the denim is perfect, a nice deep, dark, true indigo but they are much more expensive...
I have pics to illustrate the difference:
the Revolve ones:
The mywardrobe ones:
Are they actually the same, are my eyes deceiving me?
Thanks,
PiP

Answer:
Hmm, tricky one. J Brand do an ink and a dark vintage wash (see ), and it's difficult to tell the difference when you don't know how much the online pic has been shopped. I think your best bet is to email My Wardrobe and ask them which wash it is that they are selling
Answer:
hey pip, I bought them too and sent them back. I got the washed/faded ones from revolve, they were still quite dark and I'm very fussy about any fading on denim and I thought they were ok. I have the ink straight legs too and they started fading pretty quickly so after a few wears/washes I don't think it'll make too much difference to the look of them.
hope that helps!
Answer:
Pip - i noticed ths too, the ones on my wardrobe are a nicer colour than the revolve ones, it was the colour that put me off the most, it didnt look as nice as the colour of the ones that KM had on :o . I recently got some wide leg dark denim jeans from Primark for about £12 which are great will do until TS inevitably do a good copy the J Brand ones !!
Answer:
Thank you for your help ladies :D
I think after looking at the J Brand site (and the pics of La Moss in them) again. I'm pretty sure it's the ink that I want which is annoying as they don't have them on revolve
I'm going to go to Selfridges/Harvey Nics to check them out IRL for sizing etc so I can take a look at the diff washes there. I'm hoping there will be another US site where I can get the ink ones cheaper :fingers:

Heel height on Funboy 3 boots?
Can anyone tell me how high the heels are on these please??
    Ta muchly! :D
    Answer:
Just got my tape measure out for you hun, and it's 3-and-a-half inches (9cm) :)
Be warned if you're thinking of ordering - they come up *small*. I'm a 6 everywhere, but needed to size up to a 7 in these, as the 6's were soooo tight and pinched my toes so much!
    Answer:
Three and a half inches! Are they comfy?
I tried on a 7 in desperation last week, I'm an 8, but they were way too tight so hopefully the 8's will be OK.
I've had them on order for two weeks and its never changed from pending so I rang to be told no, they're not in stock but then it turns out theres a couple of pairs in my local store. So I can't go to the gym tonight (oh dear! :p ), instead I'll be trying my boots on!
    Woo hoo! :whoop:

I've only worn them once, but I think they're comfy :) They have like a stack-heel so they don't feel that high when they're on really - it's not the same as wearing 3.5 inch stilettos, which would be agony! They're a similar heel height and heel-shape to my Topshop 'Brandy' boots which are *the* most comfy boots in the world, so I'm hoping these will turn out the same!
Office are terrible for keeping you on 'pending' with their orders when things aren't in stock aren't they! Hope you get one of the pairs in your local! They are lovely boots, and I can't believe how much they've been reduced by!

    Silver Shoes
    Hi all,
I am bridesmaid in 3 weeks and I am having a hard time trying to find silver shoes.:boohoo: Ideally I want closed toe with either a kitten heel or small enough heel (so that I can stay upright all day!).
Would any of you out there know someplace I can look either in shops or online? Any help would really be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
My friend bought these ones at Monsooon on Saturday
The also got this other pair with silver trimming...they looked very smart and comfortable but she opted for the other styled instead, she is also going to a wedding.
Is this the kind of thing you are looking for?
    Answer:
    Do you have a budget?
    Answer:
Thanks v much for that. The only thing is they are a little bit out of my price range. Am a full time student and am hoping not to spend more than 30 - 40.
    Answer:
    Hiya
This thread I posted a few weeks ago may help you!
Originally I did see a gorgeous pair of silver shoes in New Look....in Dubai, and me being me as there wasn't any difference in the UK and Dubai price, thought I'd wait until I got home to buy them, and low and behold they didn't do them in any of the UK New Look's near me and believe me I went looking!!
I ended up buying a pair from Faith, but I can't find them on the website, but they are mega comfy, £30 in a cracked silver closed toe shoe. I did have plenty of inspiration though from my thread! :D

    NO.4. ask :
How long should skinnies be over shoes??
I've got it in my head that I am finally going to try wearing skinnies and platform heels (I dont like my legs so havent bothered up till now) but as I bought my skinnies with the sole intention of tucking them into boots I didnt worry what length they are. Now I'm wondering if they are too short.
Mine come to the back of my shoes - where the shoe meets the top of the heel and lay flat against my leg. Is the 'rule' that they bunch up around your ankle and come down slightly over the back of your heel and maybe the sides of your shoes??
Sorry I cant post a pic as they have all come out too dark but I could really do with some advice on this.
(They actually look OK - my legs arent terrible so I may buy a pair of black ones now hence the question re length).
    thanks all
    Answer:
I like mine to go down the heel a bit but i think it's personal preference really :)
    Answer:
I like them to bunch down a little over the shoe too......although having said that, you can get away with skinnies being a touch shorter as apposed to bootcuts so if you wreckon they look ok im sure they're fine.
    Answer:
5618527) I like mine to go down the heel a bit but i think it's personal preference really :)
Me too :) I don't think the length matters as much with skinnies as it does with normal jeans, but I personally prefer them to be a bit longer. The fact that you say they just lie flat against your leg and don't bunch up at all makes me think they might be a bit obviously too-short to wear with heels.
If it's a choice between a pair that are too long and too short, I'd take the too-long ones every time! Maybe keep the pair you have now for tucking into boots, and treat yourself to a new pair for heels? Dorothy Perkins have some nice ones for £15, so you don't have to spend loads!
    Answer:
    Thanks guys.
I think I was so overwhelmed that my legs didnt actually look like tree trunks in them that I failed to acknowledge that the length may actually be wrong
I agree with what you said - longer is better. I generally wear other shaped jeans (bootcut, straightcut) skimming the floor and never any shorter but I'm a real skinny novice - so glad I asked!

    NO.5. ask :
    Autumnal Looks
Seeing as the weather has been so shiteous of late I've started to think ahead to what looks I'll be channelling come Autumn. This Winter will be my last Winter as a student (:cmeek: ) so I'm going to make the most out of dressing down. I'm thinking about digging out my old parka from high school and I also think I'll be wearing a lot of hot pant/opaques/ballet flats combos with my smock tops, big hair and a big bag...or cute hoodies with either of cotton bombers. I'll keep my leather bomber for dresses for nights out.
Over to you...I need inspiration!
    xx
    Answer:
My idea was pretty much the same as yours nina!
I'd really like to find the perfect parka that can be thrown on over pretty dresses but will also be perfect with skinnies and uggs for dog walking.
Mainly going to stick with dresses with opaques and boots like last year and also wear my skinnies with butt length cardigans, heels or flat boots and some kind of cami/top underneath.
Oh and i'd like to try shorts this year (with opaques obviously), with the butt length cardi/flat boot combo.
Oversized hoodies are a must for around the house, i love slobbing out :o
Nothing too inspiring i'm afraid, trying to think of cheaper ways of getting me through autumn/winter this year
