Comfy yet stylish shoes
I nearly bought some shoes from Clarks, but my usual size felt bit tight and they didn't have any left in half size up. What other shops do more quality, comfy shoes which still are a little fashionable?

Funny you should say that because I've just returned some Tatami sandals. They were really comfy, lovely soft inner sole (Like a Birkie but covered in really soft suede) but v wide :( They were supposed to be a narrow fitting too :cmdunno:

well, I'm still trying to find things to buy at La Redoute to use up my prize money havng had mixed luck with past purchaes. I'm now quite tempted by a pair of black leather converse high tops in the men's section (mental note, check they come in my size) but am not sure - do you think they will look a bit try-hard greasy gangster ? and, other than wearing with jeans etc, do you think they'll work with maxi dresses etc....or am I just being nostalgic for grunge ?
has anyone seen leather converses to comment on the quality of the leather - if its at all pleathery then I won't go there.

i wore my mother's black ones with velcro straps home once (i was :o rather intoxicated and i was leaving my lanvin ballet flats there so i'd have them as backup the next day for when my feet got too sore from my heels) and from what i remember they weren't too bad :uzzle:

You've probably heard on the news this morning about money being taken from Customers cards, it looks like the risk of it actually happening to you are pretty slim though.

Is this story only just hitting the news? We discussed it in e-business at Uni weeks ago - we were talking about security and internet fraud. It's a bit scare mongering really - there are just as many threats everyday - you go out shopping on the high street and run the risk of having your card cloned, card readers in cash machines (particularly bad near us at the moment), being mugged. Basically online threats are no worse than real life ones. In fact online is probably safer! Just protect yourselves - if you can try and only buy online with a credit card with online fraud protection, make sure that the site is secure before you order, don't buy anything on ebay without using something like PayPal or BidPay - walk away if someone is demanding cheques or bank transfers.
