how do you disguise a jelly belly?
i really hate shopping for clothes now, as i'm in a complete fashion rut, and don't seem to be able to find anything to wear that disguises my tummy - without making me look like demis roussos!
I'm only big around the middle, everywhere else isn't too bad i suppose, but it would be nice if i could be fashionable and maybe even feminine, as all i ever wear are jeans.
the fact that i'm only 5foot2 probably doesn't help either.
i have literally returned home from a days shopping empty handed and in floods of tears :boohoo:
please help!

Sounds like you are similar to me, mine was also made worse by having had a c-section so nothing fits me right around the waist and belly either... and I get much more wobble than I used to :o
I usually wear longer or smocky tops, some nicely fitted at the top usually helps as that takes the attention away from the lower part. I've personally found River Island, Primark New look especially good for these kind of things lately. I quite like tunics smock tops over jeans or cropped trousers. They also look good with linen trousers.

I also have this problem and my first suggestion is going to sound completely off the wall!
Get fitted properly for a bra! I was wearing a 36C/34D, got fitted properly came out with a 34E/32F (32E in MS) and all of a sudden I had a waist and my belly didn't seem so awful.
Other than that I wear smocky type tops with skinny jeans, because I need the balance of the tightness on the bottom half or I look big all over and spend a lot of time seeking out tops which skim, sometimes buying them in a bigger size that I *need*.
V necks are good as they draw the eye to the cleavage and away from the belly and also slouchy trousers with tucked in fitted tops seems to work too.
Tunic dresses are also good, but don't be put off more fitted styles as a decent control body helps and they can emphasise a waist effectively.

That's what I was going to suggest, most people are too busy trying to look down your top to notice your belly! :D
Answer:
thanks for your help - much appreciated.
funny you should mention getting a decent bra, as i had a breast reduction early this year. i've only been measured once since the op, and i'm not entirely convinced the SA was right, so i'm going to get measured elsewhere.
certainly going to have a rummage around river island when ours reopens. have to say that most things i've bought from primark have dropped to bits in no time, although my husband practically lives there :heyhey:
I suppose i have more choice now that i have a smaller bust - wearing strappy tops, dresses, sleeveless/halterneck tops were a complete no brainer before!
tip for ebay please :)

tip for ebay please :)
hi
I'm currently bidding on some shoes on ebay which I want sooooooooooo badly! But i always seem to have rubbish luck on ebay ... i.e i always get outbidded in like the last second but only a couple of pounds :(!
I'm a bit of a novice and have only bidded on a few items, so I just wondered if anyone had any tips on how to try and not get outbidded by such a small amount!
thanks :)

Answer:
perhaps set up a snipe using auctionsniper or justsnipe... do a search on google for auction snipe and that should bring up a few sites.
This would enable you to enter your bid at the last minute, or even down to a few seconds... however, i've never used these before and not sure if they are 100% successful. My brother uses Just snipe and I've never heard him complain.
If you can bid yourself in the last 20 seconds or so, that seems to work if you have the time... but I always put a maximum bid clear of what I am prepared to pay, not what the bid price suggested is. If I am beaten then I'm not too bothered as that was the maximum price I was prepared to pay.
Although, I do get annoyed when I lose something by a few pence or £1, dependent on what it is.
Answer:
Always put a weird amount down eg £4.67 and never straight pounds, as someone could bid a couple of pence over the straight pound, if you know what I mean. If Ebay says that your bid is too close to being outbid, quickly put in a higher amount away from that figure, say an extra £5 or something. I had to bid on a car last night and was a nervous wreck! But managed to win it, with putting in a strange amount. :)
Answer:
Bid at the absolute last moment - I do it at 12 seconds with my absolute max, and I always do a reallyrandom amount. If I really really must have something I bid a ridiculous amount so I can't be outbid (one day this will backfire on me :D )
Answer:
I've only been selling on ebay for a few months. Hardly anyone bids before the last minute these days. And the people that do are newbies. So my advice is do a snipe as Yingers said...GOOD LUCK :)

Could anyone send me a message when the Newcastle or Metrocentre stores get the black skinny jeans in in a size 10?
I was at both yesterday and they only had 16s and 18s.
I apologise if this kind of post isn't allowed.
Answer:
I pop into the Newcastle branch fairly regularly as I want the electric blues ones so I'll keep an eye out for you...

Keep or ebay?
1 Attachment(s) II found these in my wardrobe and wanted some advice. I only brought these last xmas and only wore them once. Should I keep or ebay them?
I feel they are a little out now and too pointed.
Answer:
If you like them and will wear them again (soon!) then keep them.
If you've gone off them, and probably won't wear them again, which seems to be the case, then ebay them.
Answer:
Personally I don't like them and would ebay but it entirely depends on whether you think you'd wear them or would prefer to have some money for them to buy something else instead xx
Answer:
I like em

was just looking on ebay and there seems to be a lot of Marc jacobs Stams going for £150 ish. Im really tempted, but how can i spot fakes, some of them look real, i have looked on NAP and they look exactly the same but the interior is a different colour, but i think this is because they are last years. Does anyone have one that can help spot a fake?
Answer:
Dunno really, i'm no expert myself but I would steer clear of ebay... most designer stuff they have on there these days is fake.
Answer:
I'm not an expert either, but I can't imagine anything that sells for £150 to be real :cmdunno:
Answer:
If it sounds too good to be true..... you know it is!
I seriously doubt any Stams can be bought for a mere 150 pounds
Answer:
Would YOU sell a £700-800 bag for £150?
You can have them authenticated
