Has anyone ever had pro photos taken?
I'd like to have some photos taken in a studio and was wondering if anyone's done thisand has any tips or recs?
I read an article about bourdoir photography in Scarlet mag a few months back, and I'm not sure if I want something sexy or more just posy.
Answer:
I had some posy but not sexy ones taken and I really didnt like them to be honest it just didnt seem like me.
Answer:
Personally I'm not a big fan of the standard makeover/photoshoot ones, but I have been thinking about getting done as a wedding present for Mr Shiny.
Answer:
A while back I found a website similar to the one Shiny posted although I can't for the life of me remember what the name of the company was. Their pictures were really nice and I would love to have a set done for Mr. Ellie.
I always think that the photos they take in 'How to Look Good Naked' look great too.
Answer:
Myself and a friend had the posey type done years ago and I don't like them. In fact I stumbled across them the other day and I was actually cringing when I looked at them. They were so cheesy and it didn't look like me. They also made me look loads older than I was at the time. It was all very Princess Dianaesque coy poses :o  .
I'd ask to see some portfolios before forking out.
To Wii or not to Wii?
NO.2. ask :
To Wii or not to Wii?
That is the question :D (How naff  )
Mr C and I are just nosing at a Wii and wondering whether to indulge
Should we? Do you use yours often if you have one or did you find it a fad that wore off after a few days/weeks?
And again    :D
Answer:
Omg, I love the Wii!
My hubby got one, and I thought it'd be a bit gimmicky, but its so much fun, and it gets your heart rate p too if you play the right game, so its a bit of exercise for you!
Get one get one get one! :D
Answer:
Get one! Right now!
Answer:
Definitely buy one! I absolutely love mine. I count it as my 30 minutes of exercise every day too :o Wii Sports are the best. I have other games, but I love Wii Sports - Especially boxing and bowling. :fantasti:
Answer:
I think I need one too Cat, we were just looking at one in Blockbuster before.
Not sure how much use we would get out of it. I love the idea of Mario Party though :o
Where sells a good range of swimsuits?
NO.3. ask :
Where sells a good range of swimsuits?
I really need a new swimsuit. I can't wear bikinis anymore as I hate my stomach due to the dreaded stretchmarks from having my bambinos.
Figleaves do a large range but ideally I would like somewhere that I can actually go and try on as I have a long body and find that alot of swimsuits are too short in the length ( they feel like they are cutting me in two).
Answer:
I think the big department stores are the best bet - somewhere like House of Fraser or Debenhams.
Answer:
Monsoon/Accessorize have some gorgeous swimming cossies. I didn't expect to find any in there, but they have a great selection (well, my local one does!). Very well made, i have a bikini that's been on 3 holidays (and worn a lot) and is still going strong.
Answer:
George at Asda do a decent range, and at good prices too :)
Answer:
Swimwear
Try BHS and M S. BHS do a longer body length as well.
How much do you spend on bags?
NO.4. ask :
How much do you spend on bags?
A few years ago, I was all about It bags. I would spend a ton on a designer bag, albeit one I loved, I didn't just buy the bag of the moment because of the trend.
Now I tend toward the high street for bags - particularly Topshop at the moment. I purchased 3 there in the last 2 weeks - a beautiful deep purple slouchy leather, the Kate Moss studded bucket bag and a bargain mustard yellow faux leather shoulder bag with a rope strap. I love them all and I think they fit my style perfectly, yet collectively they come to less then a quarter of how much I've previously spent on a single bag.
Iwas just wondering what other peoples preferences are? Do you tend to spend a lot on a bag? Or do you prefer cheap cheerful? Or somewhere in between?
And lastly - which bag have you got the most use out of, where is it from and how much was it? Mine - Marc Jacobs violet leather hobo purchased on ebay for around £250. I've used it every other day for the past 2 years.
Answer:
1 Attachment(s) I do love my bags. My favourite designer bags are Mulberry. I have an Elgin, a Joni and two Aralines. I'm lusting after a Bayswater in oak. However, the bag I am using the most is by Tano, 'My Heroin' in black. It cost me £100, incl shipping from the US. I use it everyday at the mo :throb:
Answer:
I hardly spend anything on bags now. I was very lucky that Mr C bought me a tan coloured Chloe Paddington last Summer and since then i haven't really felt the need to buy loads more.
I did buy a fake black MJ Stam in the winter though as i liked the style and felt the black added an edge and went with a bit more of my winter clothes but come Summer the paddy gets used constantly.
I really fancy a Balenciaga this winter but can't afford it so will probably look at getting an inspired or replica version possibly
So i'd probably say i spend at most £50-60 a year on a bag, if that or indeed anything.
Answer:
I really want a white leather bag - I'm trying to find one I love on the high street but I may need to go for the classic Balenciaga lariat.
Arish Mell - I love Mulberry too! I have three - the Luella colalboration in black from a few years ago, a light brown messenger bag (actually a mans bag but nevermind, its idelal for shopping!) and a beautiful soft toffee leather Araline with orange on the tassles (got that one on ebay).
Starting to think I have too many bags! :D
Answer:
I am a total Mulberry convert and since my habit begun last summer I haven't bought anything but.
I have an Elgin, a Blenheim, two Emmys and a Ledbury and I love them all :heartpop:
I used to spend a fortune on high street bags that I would get bored of or would fall apart, but now I prefer to save up or wait for the sales and buy a bag I adore instead :)
What items do you go back to time and time again?
NO.5. ask :
What items do you go back to time and time again?
I don't mean your wardrobe staples like black trousers. I mean those items that fit you perfectly, that you keep repurchasing or have loads of because you love them so much.
Mine are;
Hanky Panky 4911 low rise thongs
Hollister Abercrombie tshirts
River Island jeans and combats (always a bit too big but I love the styles)
New Look tshirt bras
French Connection wrap dresses
HM skinny rib vests
Answer:
hmmm... not sure if there's really anything in particular I buy over and over again... I tend to like to buy try as much as I can, although there have been times when i've bought some staple basic things, worn them to death and gutted I couldn't get any more or buy extra in the first place.
There are things that I am especially drawn to like spots or stripes, certain colours, certain styles of shoe... but all that does is make me feel like I should be a bit more adventurous!
If anything, the following usually gets my faithful custom:
River Island, Diesel gap jeans
Primark undies, flannel PJ's and nightshirts
Miss Selfridge or Topshop plain black bootleg trousers
Answer:
Urban outfitters gauchos (I have a lot)
HM push-up bras (bleedin' miracle workers)
HM boyfit pants
New Look leather ballet flats
And not much else really.
g_k
Answer:
French Sole ballet pumps.
I have 5 pairs in low cut, and they're a definitely a staple for me now.
Answer:
Havaianas!
