Need to find some shoes...
NO.2. ask :
Need to find some shoes...
...to match this dress.
I'm the only bridesmaid at my sisters wedding at the end of August and I'm struggling to find some shoes to match my dress.
This is the dress:
And these are the shoes I'm considering buying...
...but I'm not sure if they're probably a bit too dark/turquoise-y? They look quite comfy and they'd be wearable afterwards.
I'm really not 'into' fashion whatsoever...but was thinking blue shoes might be better than cream, to bring out the blue on the dress...and I'm quite pale skinned and don't want to look like a walking column of cream!
I don't want anything too fussy, or high - I'm rubbish at walking in heels and I don't want my feet to be killing after half an hour. Plus I'd like to be able to wear them again, so something that'll go under jeans would be great!
Has anybody seen any shoes that might go or have any suggestions as to where I could find some?
Oh and I live in rural Herefordshire, so it'd have to be something I could get online really :cmdunno:

would you consider a ballet type pump? my bridesmaids wore prom dresses and in the evening one of them changed out of her heels into flat pink ballet pumps and it looked great..something to consider perhaps?
Answer:
It's always hard to tell colours on computer screens so you'd probably need to check these out in real life, but how about -
Answer:
I would definitely consider ballet pumps, but the bride has put her foot down and is insisting I wear heels, something about giving me a better posture and making me stand/walk better
Ooo I quite like those glitter junkie - think they might be a bit high, don't want to break my ankle as I walk down the aisle!

Aw thats a shame! I don't think those ones *look* that high, but if you're not used to heels then you don't want to be tripping down the aisle
What about these - again quite hard to tell the colour in real life, but they could be okay?
or
They both look a lot lower!
ETA - found some more

Please find my lovely mum a navy/dark blue here!
Hey girls
My mum is desperately looking for a nice navy/dark blue here for a wedding we're going to next month. Has anyone seen any nice ones around? Any styles/materials considered, as long as it's the right colour. Navy blue doesn't seem to be very in-fashion at the minute so I can't find anything!
Many thanks :D :thanks:

OR try a wedding shop they may have just the thing to go with navy bridesmaids dresses etc

Thanks hun :) I've had a look on M+S website but can't find anything, I'll have a look in-store tomorrow though! Wedding shops sound a good idea too :D
Any other ideas appreciated - my mum's worried she'll end up taking her belongings in a tesco's carrier bag if we don't find something soon
Answer:
No kidding about the navy bag shortage. Two words for you though: :)
I also found a JL and this one. Accessorize have a few on their site, but I wasn't quite sure so haven't posted them.
Answer:
I would also suggest John Lewis, last time I was there they had satin navy clutch bags- would be ideal for a wedding. They were very reasonable too!
So did anyone watch countdown today?

NAP Further Reductions now on!
NO.5. ask :
NAP Further Reductions now on!
Hi,
Just been to the NAP website and it finally says Further Reductions in the Sale!
I haven't actually seen what's been reduced yet... I'm off to take a look now.
Answer:
only one of the things i want got reduced further and it was from 30% to 40%  hardly worth the wait!
the US sale is sooo much better
and wtf are dresses from last a/w doing being 30-40% reduced anyway?
Answer:
I can't see any good bargains there at all
Answer:
I really want these shoes
:boohoo:
The best sale reduction I've seen so far is some Balenciaga shoes from two seasons ago, the clumpy ones that MK Olsen has in Selfridges for £99! They were too small for me.
Answer:
there are none, it's rubbish
a pair of boots i wanted that started out at £400ish have been reduced an extra £40, that's it
