Prada Auctions

NO.1. Ask :
Prada Auctions
Anyone else seen the Prada auctions on their website? Looks interesting... but the stuff they got on there is pretty grim.... the shoes they got on there at the moment are rank - especially the green patent gusset things they got on there atm
I quite like the orange leather bag :) A bit out of my bracket though, even at 600 euros  !!!
What does everyone else think?
Answer:
I quite like the gradient maryjanes and gradient loafers. Also out of my price bracket though.
Answer:
I too am strangely attracted to that gradient patent...

    desperate plea.....
....sorry to do this, and I know that there are a million threads in relation to this, but I am quite desperate!
I really really really want one of those anya hindmarch bags, but the website keeps crashing, and there are no sainsburys in Ireland, so if theres anyone out there who has a spare one, and would like to sell it to a little Irish girl, I will love you forever (and paypal immediately) and if you ever need anything from this side of the Irish sea, I will get it for you......pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease................ .....
    Answer:
I think we're all in the same boat hun, they seem to be practically impossible to get hold of unless you want to pay £50 on Ebay (I'm not near a Sainsburys either :( )
They haven't sold out off that We Are What We Do website yet though, so if you keep checking back you might be lucky enough to catch it at one of the rare times it's actually working  Alternatively, they're going to be releasing new colours in the summer - I'm sure they will be much easier to get hold of then. I think they're just creating a hype at the moment by limiting the numbers, but when the fuss has died down a bit they will be everywhere!
    Answer:
thanks glitter, I suppose it wont be the end of the world if I dont get one...:boohoo:
    Answer:
well, i usually shop in sainsburys so if I see them, I'll get a few for you ladeeez, though I don't know how happening my local one is and whether they'll be getting any stock...
    Answer:
oh thanks so much PC! I would really really appreciate it! xx

    carrying on from this thread:
really not sure if it looks too metalicky(sp?), or whether i should wear it tucked in or out (im thinking it looks better out, but i was planning on wwearing it tucked in!) it doesnt look quite so metalicky irl.
    not tucked in:

tucked in (havent done a very good job of tucking it in, as its all ruched towards the side. obviously i would do it better if i was wearing it for real):

    Answer:
    Its very sexy.
    Answer:
It looks alright from whhat I can make out..though I'd def wear it out NOT tucked in and with dark jeans and peeptoe heels.
    Answer:
I think it looks better tucked in - is lovely btw!
    Answer:
its ok but not anything special i don't think (sorry)
maybe it would better with darker jeans and different shoes cos it looks a bit glam for the outfit and shoes
    xx

    NO.4. ask :
mytheresa.com - anyone ordered from them?
    Hi Ladies
Has anyone ordered through the website mytheresa.com? I was wondering if you got hit with similar VAT and custom charges as when you order from the States via Shopbop, or because it's a European site it's less painful:( .
    Many thanks, Megusta
    Answer:
i haven't ordered from there but they're in germany so you won't have to pay customs charges at all.
    Answer:
Nothing helpful to say except, ooh, what a lovely site!:D

  • Machine washable leather???

    NO.5. ask :
    Machine washable leather???
The washing machine is the last place I would put a leather jacket!!! Anyone else agree or is this something i've just not really heard of or tried?
    Answer:
Yeah I've heard of machine washable suede and leather before...never actually owned it though.

It can be quite a selling point for lots of people believe it or not! :)
    Answer:
I've heard for some horse riding leathers being machine washable, but have always thought leather would beat the hell out of a normal washing machine:confused:
    Answer:
Oh I'd still be too afraid to put it in the machine no matter what the label said.
Reminds me of a time my sister lent her fab chocolate brown leather skirt to her friend who chucked it in the machine and destroyed it.:boohoo:
to add insult to injury she replaced it with an awfull shiny pvc number

I've washed very dirty horse tack in the washing maching however it does beat the hell out of it and it takes a lot of oiling and conditioning to get it supple again.
