What song do you have in your head atm?
I have Bloc Party - I still remember alternating with Maximo Park - Apply some pressure :rawk:
Answer:
Hey Cat hunni, you ok?
I've got random stuff in my head after watching the E4 adverts music list programme all the one hit wonders from Levis ads made me laugh, anyone remember Bayblon Zoo? :D
Answer:
I'm fine thanks sweetie, just waiting for Mr C to get here. Hope everything is good with you?
OMG I remember that Babylon zoo song! I quite fancied the lead singer:o I was only 12ish though so that's my excuse :D
Answer:
Aww, what time is he due to arrive?
The lead singer looks at bit odd now, he seemed a bit bitter that he hadn't made it bigger than the Beatles!
Answer:
2ish i hope :fingers:
Oh yeah cause with material like that he deserved to be bigger than The Beatles didn't he? :D *shocker*

An instinctive (or intuitive) dresser, or do you dress more by design? I was pondering this recently after an interesting conversation with a friend, when we concluded that she was a very logical ordered thinker, and that I tend to be more intuitive and random - logical reasoning will often only go so far with me. The interesting thing is that we're both mathematicians (although she's certainly a better one that I am).
The way that this relates to clothes (bear with me!) is that we both agreed that this translates directly through into how we dress as well.
I'm definitely an instinctive dresser, by which I mean that the way I look is not generally planned, and I rarely aim for a specific "look" (other than that required by the constraints of working in an office). I might plan an outfit on rare occasions and certainly use things I've seen on other people for inspiration, but mostly I can't really quantify the process by which I decide what to wear - I just end up putting stuff together on the spur of the moment. In many ways, I actually think that I'm quite naïve about clothes. Which is a good and a bad thing...
IIt does mean that I have few preconceptions about things and will usually try something at least once. It also means that when things go wrong, they go badly wrong  and I end up either looking like a freak or resorting to something safe and boring which I know looks OK.
Anyway, sorry for the burblings. But I find the whole thing of how clothes can reveal (or conceal) personality quite interesting.

    Answer:
very haphazard whatevers clean at the moment-kinda-dresser!, weve moved in our new house feb OH still hasnt plugged in the washing machine!.
Ordinarily though if im going to work, quite ordered put my clothes out the day before, but at the moment being a stay at home mom its just jeans or a dress really with minimum frills !
    Answer:
Sometimes I'll get up and decide that I really want to wear a certain item or pair of shoes and will build an outfit around that. But mostly I open my wardrobe and think oh my go I have nothing and pull something random out and find stuff that goes.
I'm rubish at really using inspiration from magazines or other people as I never remember unless its a whole "outfit" but I'm not keen on that as it limits how I can wear things. Something I buy only if I know I have something that will "go", but mostly I just work around one item that I like and hope for the best!
More often I'll wear a dress as theres less to think about! T-shirt underneath, cardi on top, tights or leggings and shoes or boots! And I often forget to accessorise!
    Answer:
I try to plan outfits the night before to save time in the morning...but often change my mind for various reasons. Sometimes it's the weather, sometimes it's that I'm having a "fat" day and don't wanna wear anything fitted or constricting, sometimes it's just that I wake up and don't feel like wearing what I'd planned! E.g. yday I had a great outfit planned with grey skinnies, but in the morning had the urge to wear my new indigo straight leg jeans instead, so I did. This required finding a different top to wear (with the added restriction that it had to have either long sleeves or short puff-sleeves as I didn't have enough time to shave my underarms :o ) so I didn't look my greatest yday, but something in me just didn't feel like wearing the grey skinnies
    Answer:
I'm a bit of both really, it depends how much time I've got and how creative I'm feeling. If I'm having trouble sleeping I usually plan what I'm going to wear the next day. I prefer to be overdressed for an occasion rather than underdressed, so quite often I go a bit OTT
I like trying to incoporate current trends into my outfits if I like them, but still prefer to dress as an individual and not as 'one of the crowd'. I guess I'm lucky really because I don't work anymore, I have no constraints in what I can wear, which I'm sure is sometimes a bad thing

    NO.3. ask :
What are Mango like for returns?
I'm soooo annoyed! I bought a lovely silver sparkly top from Mango over a month ago, but haven't had a chance to wear it until tonight - I'm going to a friend's birthday drinks.
Can't believe I didn't spot it when I tried it on in the shop, but there is a small hole right at the front just under the neckline, a glitch in the knit all the way down the front - it looks like a line, and a pulled thread and nearly hole in the back! :faint:
Thing is, it seemed fine in the shop and I knew I wanted it so I haven't got the receipt, have cut the label off and I am definitely outside the 28 day return thing.
I don't want a refund, I'd like an exchange as I love the top, but will they give it to me or will they just think I have worn it and trashed it?
    Answer:
In my experience, they are pretty snooty and sniffy about returns - at least in the Oxford Street branch. When they had a HSK store, I preferred there as they were tonnes nicer. On the other hand, a friend of mine managed to return a leather jacket a nearly a year after she bought it as the zipper broke ?! I guess it's a matter of luck - you can but try!
    Answer:
They are really tough here (Spain) but I should imagine that they are more lenient in UK as everywhere else tends to be.

Anyone up for a style challenge?
I'm going out to a doo (sunday league footall - end of season) the dress code is smart casual. I am quite a scruffy girl would like to look good for my OH. I always (even in this heat) waer jeans so I'm thinking a change is in order. I don't really do smart trousers as I wear them to work so I am thinking of a dress or skirt, only problem is that I only wear them with knee high boots as my calves are scarred I'm still self-consious (yes even in this hear - had some interesting tan lines last year  ) but I don't want to look tarty.
    Any suggestions?

    Answer:
How about a maxi dress or skirt? There are a few out now; I really like this from Topshop but it might be a bit scratchy/too hot!
Dotty P's have quite a few too - this might be a bit too formal but there are one or two others. Miss Selfridge has this too, which could easily be dressed up or down.

    Answer:
I was going to say maxi dress or skirt too! I like that miss S one GK has recommended.
    Answer:
Good suggestion there geek_kitten. Talking of maxi dresses, this one is lovely:
    Answer:
I love that black Miss S one. I am going to a posh do soon too and plan to wear it with a long gold pendant a chunky gold cuff .. I think Sienna Miller wore something similar a while ago (that isthe image I have in my head anyway!)

Which shoes and question about a Zara dress
I’m after a fairly neutral coloured pair of elevators. But am a bit worried about ordering the grey patent ones from Office:
So I’m contemplating these peeptoes from Aldo:
Which I think I may also get in gold. So am a bit dubious about getting the same shoe in two colours :cmdunno:
Ok so first queston, which do you prefer the grey Office ones or Aldo bone ones? Bearing in mind that I will probably get the Aldo ones in gold too.
If I go for the Aldo ones, I need to think of dresses that would look nice with them.
The Zara butterfly dress springs to mind. So second question, is this still about in stores?
I don't know why I didn't buy the bloody thing when it first came out. They don't have my size on ebay - just checked :boohoo:
    Cheers Ladies x x
    Answer:
having seen them both irl, I prefer the Aldo version. For some reason I am not keen on the hidden platform of the Office ones..
Personally I would wear them with most things from skinny jeans to dresses and a pencil skirt for work.
    Answer:
I like them both, but if I had to choose I''d say the Aldo ones. And if you like them loads, I don't see any reason not to get another pair in gold!
    Answer:
i love them both, but i prefere the aldo ones too, as i love the heel. i dont see anything wrong with getting the same shoes in two colours!
sorry - i havent been to zara in aaages so i couldnt tell you about the dress. i was supposed to be going to meadowhall today, but havent been able to go, but if i go during the week, i can have a look for you if you like?
ETA: i think the shoes are very versitile and you will be able to wear them with almost anything.:)
    Answer:
I'm glad you would wear them to work Catslife. As I think I probably would. Although they are sooo high.
Thanks fashionaddict78, I fancy them in the red too  I bet I end up with 3 pairs of the same shoe.
