I'm quite lucky, my tesco always turns up in the first half hour. I agree though, you don't want to start doing anything.. just in case

which colour jeans should i have taken up?
NO.3. ask :
which colour jeans should i have taken up?
i'm thinking of having a pair of my jeans taken up to flood length, or there abouts. which pair do you think i should have shortened? i have some diesel indigo ones and some primark white ones.
on one hand im thinking the indigo ones because it will make them more summery, and they may have gone out of fashion by the time winter comes, but on the other hand im thinking the white ones because they were only cheap.
Answer:
:cmdunno: I dont really know TBH, Why do you want to shorten either? Why not do both?
Answer:
I'd say the white.
I don't think that indigo jeans will ever be 'out of fashion' they're a classic staple.
Also it depends on the shape. Are they both slim legs?
Although really I don't think you should do either, I'm sure you'll be able to find a pair in somewhere like Primark. Or buy a new cheap pair to get taken up. :D
Answer:
Why don't you just buy a cheap pair of indigo skinnies, or even a cheap pair of floodlength jeans? That way you won't have the problem come winter if you want indigo skinnies.
Answer:
yeah i'll do that. i'll just get another cheap pair. :D am thick me. why didnt i think of that??!!

green/eco fashion - do you buy it?
NO.5. ask :
green/eco fashion - do you buy it?
As it's now 'fashionable' to be green it seems every high street retailer has some type of green fashion message to spread. Is everyone buying it? Or like me, do you hate being marketed to, even for a good cause? I know about global warming but I want to make my changes in my own time and when I read about another organic-cotton range my instinct is to switch off. On the other hand, it's good that these causes are being addressed and surely the stores need to promote the ranges so customers know they are there. But I hope it's not just another fashion trend that they will get bored with and onto the next thing...
What does everyone else think?
Answer:
Whilst awareness of the issues are good I can't help but get the feeling that most places are pushing it as a marketing ploy because, let's face it, it's becoming a huge 'trend' to be ecofriendly (see the Anya Hindmarch bag craze for proof  ).
I think that if retailers were really concerned with green issues, they could do an awful lot more than they are doing now.
Answer:
Yes, that's kind of what I meant. However, there are some companies like Noir and Edun that are completely green and ethical and the products are gorgeous so you'd buy them anyway. For me the design comes first and if it's green/ethical it's a bonus!

If I wanted to buy ethically/greenly then I'd go for a longstanding company who has ethical values in it's mission statement, rather than one that's just following the fad.
Answer:
I consider myself very ethical in which shops I buy from (Fairtrade from Co-op, Coffee, chocolate and sauces from Oxfam, etc). Of course some companies are cashing in on the 'green' thing and that does annoy me. Tesco, Shell, Starbucks, etc are a disgrace in my opnion and I would never shop there but I suppose it is better they do something than nothing.
I suppose one has to bear in mind that 95% of the poopulation doesn't really care about the green issue, fairtrade issue, of whatever issue. Thus I suppose it follows that the only way to get them to buy ethically is to get the green / fairtrade / whatever issue to be 'trendy' and that does make me a little sad.
People are very good at texting into "make poverty history" or to but the "green shopping bag" but they often (sadly) rarely do anything more.
Just a thought.
