O/T - Do you change your perfume in the summer?
    Hi girls,
I've been wearing Stella McCartney in Two perfume all winter but wondering whether to invest in a new summery one for the new season.
Has anyone else had a change for summer??
And i'm just interested in what perfume everyone is wearing at the moment??

    Answer:
    Hey!

I use the same perfume whatever time of the year it is...

Currently I wear Lacoste, the normal one, my OH buys me it and I love it. It's very light so suitable for everyday wear in the winter summer.

I use to wear Jean Paul Gaultier, it's very strong, havent bought it for a while now even though I do love it.
    Answer:
Yeah I wear lighter fruitier fragarances during summer.
    Answer:
I love Ralph Lauren - Romance and wear it all the time!
My mother in law has just come back from her hols and has bought me some Calvin Clien - Eternity, Moment and that is very nice!

    NO.3. ask :
Anyone got a tattoo on their foot?
I've been wanting to get a tattoo for ages - years even but I've never gotten round to it or just forgot about the idea after a few weeks only for it to resurface again later.
I have a friend who's mates with a tattoo artist and he reckons he'll hook me up for free as a favour to him. All good.
I wanna get 4 stars on my right foot - all hollow, with 2 being slighter larger and having a thicker outline than the smaller 2.
I've circled the kinda stars I'm on about in this pic I found on a tattoo site. Mine won't be as big as those in the pic but you get the picture.
Anyway, my question - did it really hurt having a tat done on your foot??? :cmdunno:
    Answer:
It will hurt, yes, because there is less fat there - there's not a lot of flesh covering the bones so it will hurt more than say the hip or back.
    Answer:
Whereabouts on your foot are you thinking of having it done?
*cringes at the thought of the pain*

Oh God ....:cmdunno: Shit. Will it help if I take nurofen or sumthin' like that beforehand?
    Answer:
It might help (like it does pre waxing), but to be honest I'd suggest having a chat with the tattooist first - a consultation (like you would have with a hairdresser when you're considering a drastic change) see what he/she says and what they would recommend for pain relief.
Do you definately have your heart set on a) having a tattoo and b) on your foot?

    NO.4. ask :
O/T - Anyone handy with complaints?
Im at University and share a flat with 6 people, and since the 15th of April our oven has not been working.

We kept going down to the accommodation office, and a man kept being sent out and refixing the fuses (flicking that switch when it all cuts out, its locked away so we cant do it!) but it would just go again... we realised on Thursday that it was the actual oven that was broken, and thats what was blowing the fuse.

On Friday he came out and said he has put us on a WAITING LIST! for a new oven, and that he couldnt promise when we would have one. (Knowing this University it will probably be by the end of term when we are all going home, that is no joke, they are ridiculous.)

Obviously the nights when the whole oven has blown we havent had anything to eat as we are all pretty much everyday throw something in the oven type of students, (arent all students like that?!) so we have had to get takeouts when we havent had anything to eat.

I want to write a complain as I cant believe Im paying over the odds for accommodation when they cant give us sufficient cooking devices like it states in our contract. This isnt the only problem we have had, our freezer doesnt shut and has to be selotaped closed! And comes open quite alot and defrosts all the food before someone realises its open.

Can anyone help me writing a complain, i.e should I just say how angry I am so to speak in terms of the poor service they have given, or suggest they offer some sort of compensation (basically I want some money to cover the cost of food I have had to throw away due to not being able to cook it and it going out of date!)

I've never wrote a complaint before so any help would be appreciated. Cheers Ladies.
    Answer:
The best way of making them take notice is to stop your directdebit (assuming you didn't pay in a lump), if they're not getting the ££ they'll suddenly take note.
The other option is to talk to your student services, they were wicked in my final year - our water stopped, our landlords(i lived in a building with offices and flats) said it wasn't their problem and the water company said it wasn't theirs.
The student services phoned each of them(put up with being on hold for 45ins with us siting and listening) and got it sorted. :) I expect student services is somewhere in your student union?
    Answer:
Alybea, thanks for your response. We have already paid our final lump payment now, it went out direct debit on Monday. One of my housemates has to pay by cheque, and hasnt paid yet, and is doing what you have said, not paying until its sorted.

Will try student services! Is just very annoying as we have thrown away alot of food and had to have take outs etc, I feel compensation should be given, but know it wont be.
    Answer:
If you are writing to complain, you need to clearly lay out the problem without being emotive and back each point up with both evidence and the impact that it has had.
It needs to read in a calm but assertive way. Also put in how you expect the problem to be resolved with some kind of timescales, and how they propose to compensate you for the inconvenience caused

    NO.5. ask :
Has anyone seen this Oasis dress IRL?
Hey girlies :D Bit of a long shot, as it's 'new in', but I just wondered if anyone had seen this Oasis dress in real life?
I'm just wondering if a) it's nice IRL? b) is the fabric really shiny? and c) how sticky-out-y is the skirt?
    Thankyou
ETA - I've ordered it now, I'm sooo impatient  I was ordering some flip-flops anyway so thought I might aswell see what the dress was like :D )
    Answer:
hi gj! oh now i have seen this but im soo unobservant!
i did think it was nice irl, dont think the fabric was too shiny (i didnt go up to it though just kinda glanced at it). dont remember the skirt being very sticky-out.
having said all that, someone else will probably come along and say the exact opposite!!
    Answer:
Jorden and I saw it whilst shopping last week and we both agreed it looked awful - BUUUUT I think it was just because of the way it was styled - it was so so wrong :head:
They'd put it on the mannequin over a long sleeved tee, over some leggings, put a waist belt on it, and each item of clothing was either neon or coloured or striped, so it just looked like 80's backwash really :cmdunno:
It was quite shiny if i remember correctly, and the sticky-out-ed-ness is just what it looks like in the pic.
I think the dress is quite cute on its own, not really my thing, but i think given the right accessories (i.e. keep it simple! ) then it could look good.
What are you thinking of wearing with it?
    Answer:
Aw thanks girls! Gem, that's good to hear that it wasn't overly shiny/sticky-outy IRL :great:
PV - ooh, the mannequin sounds nasty! I was just planning to wear it on a night out, very simply with silver or pewter peeptoes, and silver stud earrings - I thought the dress was quite a statement piece on its own, it's good to know I was thinking along the right lines
Aw well, I was ordering some flip-flops at the same time anyway so I suppose even if it doesn't look right IRL then I've not lost anything by ordering it (as would have paid the postage anyway). Thanks girls!
    Answer:

the colour, btw is beautiful irl, just as it seems in the pic, really vibrant and lush :heartpop:
