Lbd
Hi, I'm looking for a LBD!!! The style I am looking for is tight fitting, short and cleavage revealing. I would prefer short sleeves, bandeau or strappy style. I don't want long sleeves. Its kind of a posh spice type I want in the old days. Quite plain, but shows off legs and cleavage!! Yup going against the rule of one or the other!!
Can anybody help? Oh, I would also like something quite inexpensive!!
Thanks in advance
Answer:
Try HM. They have a few variations at the moment. I don't know if this helps, but I think you'll have better luck in the 'young trend' stores.
Answer:
How about something from American Apparel?
(this can be worn lots of ways)
What colour in this dress?
NO.2. ask :
What colour in this dress?
I love the style of this dress, and think it'd be great for work (bear in mind I'm teeny tiny with very few curves so tight is good). Ideally I'd want it in a carcoal colour, but as they don't have it, I was thking maybe the forest? I do like the eggplant, but was going to get the wrap dress in that colour.
I'm pale, with dark blonde hair. I tend to avoid green, so it would be something different for me.
Answer:
I am pale with dark blonde too but tall, personally I prefer the Evergreen - very striking. Depends on whether you want to blend in or stand out. The forest is :cmdunno: ok? I guess?
mw xx
Answer:
The forest is ok, but I do like the evergreen...

Answer:
Eggplant or evergreen both get my vote.
HELL NO to the white though :cmeek:
Answer:
I :throb: evergreen
Jeans
NO.3. ask :
Jeans
I really should've sorted out my clothes when hubby was out, because now I apparantly have too many jeans, even when disregarding those that don't fit. He thinks I should get rid of some but imo I need them all!
How many do you think is too many?
And what is your favourite brand? High st 'designer'.
Mine: River Island True Religion
Answer:
I don't know how many is too many, the thing is you need some for heels and flats and different washes too, I dunno, I don't own that many, like 6 pairs (I actually wear) and that's not enough surely, I'll take the extra stock off you ! :p
Haven't tried them all but out of what I know my faves are Levis, 7FAMK and COH (Ingrids only)
True Religion are indecently low waisted on me  , Joe's put weight on me
I like the look of FC UKs but never tried any
Answer:
High street = Topshop (still wear my grey Baxters a lot!)
Designer = Sass Bide (indigo and black Misfits)
Answer:
I have 7 pairs including a pair from Next which are absoutely hideous (must remember to get rid of them)
My faves are my 7FAMK which were £25 from TK Maxx, stretch slim bootcut and bootcut, and my CK rigid bootcuts.
Answer:
IMO there's no such thing as too many
The jeans which fit me the best are Hobbs and Oasis.
All Saints Jacket
NO.4. ask :
All Saints Jacket
Hello all you gorgeous girlies
I'm still on the hunt for a leather jacket and while I would quite like a bomber this one from AS has caught my eye
There's a few on ebay that are actual leather rather than the black fabric in the picture, which is what I'm after.
So, first of all, any opinions? How versatile do you think it would be?
Also, has anyone seen it IRL, and can it be worn undone and still look alright as I would want to wear it with dresses etc. and always feel too wrapped up in fastened jackets when I'm not wearing them with jeans or trousers.
TIA xx
Answer:
Anyone? :cmdunno:
Answer:
I've seen a few jackets on the cult website - dunno if they'd be of any interest to you? They offer free delivery and I think in particular, the brand superdry had a couple of leather ones.
The AS jacket looks ok, but not sure how versatile it would be... looks more like a top than a jacket tho. I haven't seen it IRL, so can't really comment,
Answer:
I've just found it on ebay. :faint:
Its lushious! although i'm not sure about the inner arm not being leather?
are there any left in shops that you could try on?
(Don't worry i'm not going to bid on it its not quite me :D )
Answer:
Yingers, thank you for your reply! I've actually seen the ones on Cult and they're just not quite right, IYSWIM. I do want a bomber, but one that's a bit simpler. There was one in TS a while ago that was perfect but it never materialised in the Leeds store, as per usual.
Aly, I really do prefer the leather version. I didn't realise it had those funny sleeves though. Why would they do that?!
Thank you both xx
ETA: Aly, there's only one AS near me and I can't get there before the auction ends. I think I might just bid and then relist if I don't like it. x
Did anyone see on the news apparently size 12 is fat!
NO.5. ask :
Did anyone see on the news apparently size 12 is fat!
I could not believe this on last nights evening news some stupid woman they interviewed in the street said she thinks size 12 is fat. silly cow.

A 12 is by no means fat its just ridiculous.

Answer:

Love it.

It is ludicrous. Its a bloody number, nothing more. I will be SO glad when this stupid obsession with dress size finally drops dead.
