Should I get these shortened or lengthened?

NO.1. Ask :
Should I get these shortened or lengthened?

I purchsed these, and being the shorty I am, they're more ankle grazers then crops and look a bit silly! I'm goingt o have to have the waist taken in anyway, so want to get the length changed as well, and can't decide whether to shorten them, and if I do, where exactly are they supposed to hit on my leg (I've never worn crops before), or if I should get them lengthed inot regular trousers. There's quite a bit of material in the hem, so enough to make them the right length, but they are split at the back which may cause a problem.
Any suggestions?
Answer:
i'd get them taken up to about mid-calf. i know everyone always says that short people shouldn't wear cropped trousers but i still don't see why not, i don't think it looks bad at all.
Answer:
Definitely shorten to get the look that you want... no point keeping them as they are if they are not what you wanted.
I wouldn't bother lengthening them, you may not get the result you're thinking of, but then if you shorten first and it doesn't work out, there is no going back! I don't see there being a problem with that though.
Answer:
:great: to shortening, they'll be much more versatile.
Answer:
I think you should get them shortened too. Like Arietty said they'll be much more versatile. I wear crops tucked into boots in the winter and they feel much more comfy than full length which can feel a bit bulky :cmdunno:

    What do you think?
Its my Mum's birthday on Wednesday and I've already got her a bag and bracelet but she loves Monsoon and the sale is on now...I was thinking of getting her a little extra and am quite taken with some lovely tunic tops I've seen BUT do you think its a very young look? my Mum is 59 and is fairly modern but is very in fear of the 'mutton dressed as lamb' syndrome. I think it could look great and very modern and fresh but not in a 'trying to be young' way
    what do you think?
    Answer:
I've got a friend who's in her 60's and she wears tunic tops all the time and no way does she do the mutton thing. I wear them lots too and haven't had any funny looks yet  So yeah, go for it I'm sure she'd love it :)

    Thanks Chat :D
    Answer:
I think that it depends how you wear them. Over leggings might be a young look, yes, but not over, say, a good pair of jeans or tailored trousers.

That's what I think she'd never wear it over leggings and nor would I ever suggest she should but I can see it over a pair of sharply tailored trousers with ballet pumps for example could just look really chic.
I shall report back with what I get :D

    Girls,
do any of you know if the Wolford store has opened in the Kildare Outlet Village yet? I might take a trip down to get some lovely tights for work.....
    Answer:
are there quite a few new stores there?
I'll be popping up there at the end of August to grab some bargains hopefully. My OH bought me some great CK jeans from there for about 40euro. I lub them!
    Answer:
well Reiss has opened recently and there was a sign that Wolfords would be opening soon. Theres not much in the line of clothes stores there but lots of nice house shops
    Answer:

    Heres the website link...

    Wolford isnt open yet
    Answer:
I can't answer your question (looks like fashionaddict already has) but -- Reiss has opened there? :faint: It's the only place that I can find suits to fit my frame. This is a bad time to tell me, I've just bought a new car and can't afford to spend any more money :cmdunno:

OT- has anyone bought ghds from

First of all I hope this doesn't count as advertising as I'm genuinely enquiring. It was my birthday on Saturday and my mom ordered me some GHDs on Friday and paid for next day delivery. Its Monday now and they're still not here but all my other post has arrived.
I checked out the website and I thought it looks a bit dodgy as there are some spelling mistakes on the FAQs page. Before following it up I thought I'd ask you girlies if you knew anything about it?
    Thanks for the help,

    Answer:
Thanks Louise but panic over it was just me being paranoid . They are here now and I am in love with them . Sorry if I'm going even more off topic but GHDs work miracles!
    Thanks for your help anyway,
