My current fashion thoughts all rolled into one thread :)
I've got a few things to say so just thought I'd put it all into one thread.
1) Can I just declare my love for Darimeya?! I just received my 'dotty rose' tunic and am besotted with it, it's just so unusual. I also have the one Keisha from Sugababes and Peaches:cmdunno: have, in black. There are loads of dresses/tunics by this make I admire on ASOS but don't order because I have to reaaaally love something to pay £60 for it but still, I like to look at them. Just noticed the new in dress that has a sequin bow on the front and comes in grey and black. It has sequinned cap sleeves and a sort of meshy/chiffony hem. It's ADORABLE, it's £60 though, so will wait and see if an occasion comes up to wear it rather than just buy and it and wait. Gorgeous though.
2) Did anyone see the section in this week's Reveal magazine about Kookai? There were some folky kind of clothes, and I've fell in lovewith the blue dress (£49 one) with embroidery, and the white smock style top with embroidery that the model is wearing. I haven't ventured into Kookai since Christmas, must go and have a look.
3) I went to Primark in Southport last week, and the SA told me that the Church Street, Liverpool one isn't opening until December now due to Asbestos or something!!!
4) Speaking of Primark, does anybody know how I can contact them to let them know about one of their staff, who I thought was absolutely wonderful? It's the Manchester branch btw, I was just so impressed with his upbeat manner and genuine helpfulness, I felt compelled to tell his employers!!
5) And just for total randomness, what is your favourite fashion shop, in general? As in, overal good service, you like their style of clothes, good value etc. I love many shops, for me the winner has to be Miss Selfridge. I know that everytime I walk in there, I'm going to come back out with something, because I think they stock the most lovely clothes, and the prices are ok too.
Well, that's all for now, answer what you can be bothered to!!! lol

RE: Primark, just look on the site. I'm sure there are contacts for head office on there somewhere if you wanna commend a member of staff for good service.
I thought Kookai had gone bust
Oh do you know the UO dragonfly necklace is back in stock - 2 people posted threads with you in mind ;)
Answer:
Lol, I saw the threads this morning and promptly ordered one! I thought it was so sweet for people to remember, because I had given up and wouldn't have checked back again!
Will have a look at the Primark site now, cheers!!!

Yeh I heard this too a while back, come to think of it, but it still very much exists on Bold Street in Liverpool

Kookai went into administration but was bought out. They only kept some branches open - theres still one in Chester as well
How do I shrink a pair of jeans?
NO.2. ask :
How do I shrink a pair of jeans?
Hi:wave:
I've just got the topshop high waisted corset jeans. Had to size up as I couldn't breathe in my normal size!
Now they are really a bit too big and I was just wondering if anyone had ever tried to deliberately shrink jeans before? What sort of temperature should I put them in at?? :cmdunno: Really hot like 90 degrees or what do you reckon?
griddles
xx
Answer:
my mum used to put them on and sit in a bath of cold water to make jeans fit:eek:
Answer:
Just putting mine it at 40 seems to make my jeans difficult to get into :o
xx
Answer:
I'd do them at 40 first then if they are still a bit big 60 then again at 90 if you are desp. Its not worth going straight up to 90 if they end up too small!!
Where are they too big? Could you just get them altered?
Answer:
Or just whack em in the tumble dryer for a bit without washing them - that might work as well
What do you think a chat forum within the Fashion board for off topic threads?
NO.3. ask :
What do you think a chat forum within the Fashion board for off topic threads?
The Salon has been very busy and popular in Beauty, Fashion's sister forum. Would you like to try one in Fashion? It would be a place to chat about non fashion stuff and you could visit your fashion friends even if you are 'off' fashion for a while or keeping away because you are on a spending diet.
Democracy rules so it will be up for two weeks or so. Please vote!
Answer:
I voted "I don't care" - cos I don't.
If it's there I prob won't use it that much and only replying to threads I can hep with and ignoring the "What's your favour colour/food/tree/car/kit kat flavour" type threads.
Answer:
I voted yes, if your not interested you dont need to go there and it means that people who want fashion to be exclusivley about fashion dont have to concern themselves with the OT posts.
I dont actually see how it could bother anyone and there are lots of times I'd like to ask fashion bagers things that I dont because I hate posting OT threads.

I don't think that the threads would necessarily be like that. It's all down to the personality of the person starting the thread and I think we have a pretty diverse range of people on here.
Or are you calling me boring :yaright: :p
Which dress?
NO.4. ask :
Which dress?

What she said :D I love red, so I do like the red one, but I think the blue maybe suits that style of dress better...if that makes sense :)

I need to look fab!!
NO.5. ask :
I need to look fab!!
Hello everyone
I have my school reunion next week and need an outfit to look fab!! I wasn't the most confident person at school and certain people who always made me feel bad/crap are going to be there and I want to feel confident and look fab!! My OH isn't able to come now so definatly in need of a boost!
Any suggestions about what I should wear, I am 5'5" size 8-10 with dark brown sholder length hair (although I may be having it cut this week for the reunion). Or what are your fave feel ood outfits?
Its not going to be a big dressy event but not too casual either......
Thanks
Answer:
My vote goes for this outfit;
Answer:
I'd wear a colour that really suits you and heels, and get your hair blow-dried!
Answer:
I'd wear something that ive worn before adn feel comfortable in - dont go getting something new that you havent tried before because you may end up not liking it, feeling uncomfortable etc. I wouldnt be too plain, kinda smart - casual... maybe a tunic dress with leggings and boots? I like this outfit on your style diary too,
Sorry im waffling on and not really all that helpful! I cant seem to put my words right and say what i mean today :cmdunno:
Hope you have a good time and find the right outfit :)
