Personal Shopping Service
Hi,
I would like to surprise my girlfriend with a personal shopping trip. I've budgeted about £500 for her.
Does anyone have any experience with the personal shopping service at Debenhams, John Lewis or House of Fraser?
I'd be glad to hear from anyone who has used this service or anyone that can recommend a decent store withing the Surrey area.

My friend is a personal shopper at Topshop and he practiced on me it was good he gave me lots of ideas. My mum's friend went to Debenhams for personal shopping and was pretty chuffed with it.

Nope, I don't think so, but then I quite like black and brown!
Very dark bitter chocolate brown often doesn't look right to me (lighter browns look better to my eye), and I think it works best with black clothes and brown accessories. Plus I think it benefits from a flash of colour to lift it - metallics such as gold or bronze, or something like burnt orange, khaki/olive or mustard.

I always used to think that black brown was a definite 'No No' but now I think it can work, depending on what the clothes are, the materials and the shade of brown.

You can make brown black work depending on the items, shades, texture etc. For example the outfit you described will look fine while wearing a brown polyester suit with clompy black shoes and bag because-black-goes-with-everything probably won't. Same with navy black.

Just tried to sign in and it said 'incorrect password' so I checked I'd typed it properly and I had so after about 4 tries I ended up resetting my password, tried to enter the new password and it wouldn't work, so reset it again and it still wouldn't work!
Just went on my sister's acocunt and searched my name and I'm not there :boohoo:
Now I'm thinking someone may have gone onto my account and deleted it because my password was a very simple one?

There were probs with Facebook yesterday. I was logging in and finding myself in someone elses inbox - a guy in my company at another site - and he was in mine! Then another woman emailed me asking who I was cos my email address was registered as HER contact email addy.
It was mad yesterday, random email addresses where mine should have been etc Loads of other people at work had the same problem.
I'd advise everyone to change their passwords regularly cos the site security is shit!
I'm guessing someone deleted it in error yesterday!

The Aspinal heart leather keyring with Tatler and the huge Kew bag with Red. The Red bag is enormous. I only got it to carry all my Heathrow shopping :o but it is very nice - and I never normally like the freebie bags.
The Tatlers were almost all gone but I got the blue keyring which is very nice. Real leather and looks like the regular Aspinal stuff.

The keyring sounds nice - I think Mitchey said she had one. I had ELLE delivered yest and got the celia birtwell canvas shopper. Its quite nice and a decent size, will prob take it on my hols as a beach bag :)

La Redoute - looking good this autumn
I usually hate La Redoute - their service is crap and their catalogue usually goes in the bin after a cursory glance. Not sure why but nothing ever appeals to me. I have bought from them now and then but nothing spectacular.
I have to say though, their catalogue for autumn really looks good. They have some lovely stuff. The Christian Lacroix stuff didn't appeal to me but the Jane Birkin stuff looks lovely and their are some lovely jeans, tops, jumpers and shoes. For once, I am keeping it for further perusal.
Sorry if this has been mentioned already - am just back and have not trawled back very far.
