Your opinions please
Hi Everyone
I bought top from Warehouse today. Any suggestion as to what to wear it with? With or without a belt? With skinnies or leggings? Yes, I know, I should have thought of all this before buying it, but I really like the style and colour!
Answer:
Skinnies and a long necklace, I think it's a bit too short to wear with leggings.

I have just tried it on with leggings and it is a bit too short. It's only just past my bum. I think it would look better with skinnies.
Answer:
yeah, i was just going to say - i thought it would be a bit too short to wear with leggins.
id wear it with skinny jeans, a long necklace as BR suggested, and i think it would look nice both with and without a belt.
Answer:
I'd like it with skinnies, blue or maybe even white.
I think it will look better without a belt, but I'd like a nice silver or gold long pendant to finish it off :)
Where should I start?
NO.3. ask :
Where should I start?
Hi everyone
I've never posted in fashion before but I was hoping some of you ladies might be able to help me with my wardrobe dilemma. It's a long story but I'll keep it as short as possible!
The main problem is that I just don't have any clothes!:o I have never been very confident about the way I look but things have become a lot worse over the last couple of years, as I've put on about 1.5 stones. Well apparently I was underweight before so I know that realistically I'm not exactly huge (5ft2, size 8) but now loads of my clothes no longer fit. I've lost interest in clothes because I feel that nothing looks good on me anymore.
I kept telling myself that I didn't want to buy new clothes because I planned to lose some of the weight again, but (2 years later) I haven't done really :boohoo: I've realised I need to buy some things because I have hardly anything to wear, but I just don't know where to start. I obviously don't have the money to buy a whole new set of clothes so I'd like to get a kind of 'capsule wardrobe', which consists of essential items that I can build on later.
I spend most of my time in tracksuits (I work compete in sport) so I'm really wanting the kind of thing that I might wear when I'm not at work -to go shopping, out to lunch, etc etc. Does anyone have any ideas???
Thanks xXx
Answer:
You want to loose weight? Please dont! You're figure sounds fine as it is, If you want to concentrate on anything you might find your clothes hang better if your bigger, definately not smaller though!
Staple items -
Skinny indigo dark jeans, you can wear these with pumps stiletto heels - both other staple items for your wardrobe!
Some bootcut jeans, again to be worn as suggested above.
As its going into summer I would suggest you get yourself to Primark and buy some cheap vest tops, some denim cropped trousers from somewhere and some flips flops. I would also advise some bandeau tops (stapless longline tops, you can get them from dorothy perkins website) and some cardigans (look in primark for these, I picked up three for a total of £18.00 the other day)
My final suggestion is a long in your face pendant, they're essential this season and make your outfit look great even if its not that great.
Have fun shopping! :D
Answer:
If you don't have a fortune to spend and want to get some nice bits Primark is a good place to start. Take loads of stuff into the dressing rooms to try on so you know what looks good on you. There are thousands of threads praising Primark on here!
Dotty P is also good for cheap fashion.
ETA Piglet beat me to it:D

I also recommend primark. For a caspule wardrobe though you'll want to buy at least one great pair of jeans. I recommend topshop's jeans. Their V (skinny flare) jeans are so flattering and they do so many sizes you'll find a pair that fits
Answer:
Thanks for the advice everyone.
It guess I should be heading down to Primark then! I do love Primark actually but there isn't one in my town (in fact there isn't much) so that's why I wanted some ideas before I went shopping. I always find that if I go all the way to the nearest city (Leeds) intending to buy clothes, I can never find anything nice!
I'll definitely try some of your suggestions. I think I've lost interest in clothes a bit because I can always think of a reason why something will look horrible on me. But I know that everyone else probably won't see any of these things. For example:
- I've never tried skinny jeans because I do have quite muscular thighs and a small waist.
- I don't buy vest tops because I'm very self conscious about my chest (I feel that my boobs are too big).
- I don't wear flat shoes because it makes my legs look 'stumpy'
But I will try some of these things because I think I deserve to feel at least ok about myself and I can't do that without some decent, flattering clothes. So I'll start in Primark and see how it goes from there...Thanks again!

Returning.. (Slightly O/T)
I wanna take a dress back to TS. The 28 days after is nearly up and I'm pretty busy this week so I'm gonna ask my sister to do it for me..
I paid by card so I know I'll receive a refund the same way.
I've never refunded anything to my card before. Do I need to tell my sister my PIN number or can she just hand the card over and bob's your uncle?
Answer:
It depends on the store I think - just tell her your PIN incase and that way your covered! :)
Answer:
You enter your pin for TS refunds.
Answer:
Yeah s'pose I should.. thanks!
I was just thinking ( my broke sister, my card, pin in hand, topshop, spending madly, leading to me being rather outraged)
Hah, guess I should trust my own sister though!
Answer:
ah, Thanks.
I'll tell her then. :)
