Following on from sparkle's thread..
Ok, I've been a huge copy cat and bought the blue version of sparkle's miss selfridge bubble dress. Hope you don't mind sparkles :o
But I have no idea what colour scheme to go for!
I was thinking silver might be nice.. perhaps with this shrug:
But the question is what colour waist belt/shoes/bag shall I wear?
I have a cream waistbelt, and could wear my cream office caves, with silver jewellery, and an oyster coloured bag.
So the colours would be cream, silver and blue together, would that go?
Thanks in advance :flower:
Answer:
I've been a huge copycat too and bought the nude version, although am waiting for it to be delivered and then when I try it on it will probably look pants!
Anyway, back to business - I think the outfit/colour scheme you're describing sounds pretty good to me!
Answer:
Gold or silver would look great.
Theres also a nautical feel in the air so maybe try white.
Answer:
Thanks for the replies.
Ohh the nude version will look fab on you netti. I liked that one but they didn't have it in my size and I think blue suits me anyway!
Not sure about the silver shrug now, might wear my gold crotchet sequinny shrug with it..decisions decisions!
I've ordered the dress in a six which I think mite be a mistake because by the time I put my waist belt on it'll be tiny!x
Answer:
Oooh, I didn't know they had a blue version too. :heyhey:
I think what you've described sounds lovely. I would go with cream too. Oh, and there's plenty of room in it, so you should be OK, size-wise.
Hope you like it.:)

Fancy Dress - Acid House
Hiya Guys.
I'm needing some help here! Going to An Acid House themed night tomorrow. I have no idea what to wear! And I've left it a bit late to go raking round charity shops!
Any suggestions on what I can either buy from the shops or stencil on a baggy tshirt?
I've ordered some glow in the dark dummies and glo-stix and hopefully they'll arrive with this postal strike!
Help!!! x
Answer:
Check out this site, it should be pretty helpful hopefully. It shows what people wear to Boombox etc, xx
Answer:
This sounds like it will be fun!!
Ooh, I remember those days! You need some flared jeans, or baggy dungarees, hooded top, kickers or wallabees and you're ready to rave!! :p Or a smiley face t-shirt!
Wow, that takes me back!!! :D
Have a good time!
Answer:
I'm not sure charity shops would have the right things in anyway!
Some of the t-shirts in HM at the moment with big neon prints and slogans would probably work or just a white t-shirt with a Smiley face - but it needs to be baggy.
I seem to recall bandanas being quite popular too. And white gloves!
Glo-sticks and anything neon.
I want to go too.
Answer:
1 Attachment(s) I know! I'm proper excited! Gonna be well funny with everyone making an effort too!
Someones just suggested a UV Vest thing. Genius!
What about this on a T?

Does anyone know of any shops that specifically sell gypsy-style clothes? I'm thinking along the lines of 'Star' from the film 'The Lost Boys', and the clothes she wore.
Answer:
Not so well known shops like B-wise, QS and peacocks usually do surprisingly appealing pieces.
I got a gorgeous brown boho skirt from QS the other day.
Actually come to think of it I believe I have bought about 4 floaty gypsy skirts fro there.
Answer:
Try . I think they have a ew pieces which could be put together to create that look :)
Wildly o/t but... what have you got for lunch?

Wildly o/t but... what have you got for lunch?
Sorry about this but i am bored and like talking about food (I'm in the process of training to be a nutritional therapist so i can do it all day! :lick: )
I'm at home studying today and have just had a fried egg sandwich (delicious!) with black pepper, healthy biona ketchup and pomegranate juice (i do sometimes practice what i preach  )
Over to you...
Answer:
I've just had some homemade banana bread with lashings of real butter - not a typical lunch though. :)
Answer:
Oh fried eggs :munch:
I will be having a healthy GI diet lunch of two pieces of Soya and Linseed bread toasted with 2tbsp of light mayo and a pack of MS garlic and parsley prawns on top and an apple!
Answer:
I've just had some leftover sausage and lentil casserole from last night followed by an MS carrot and orange muffin and an apple! I'm very hungry this lunchtime for some reason!!
Answer:
I had two slices of baked gammon, peas, a bit of stuffing, hot chips and gravy. I was bonkers busy this morning and didn't have breakfast so felt I could have a hot lunch from the canteen......now I want to  .
Anyone have the red asos kimono dress?

Anyone have the red asos kimono dress?
I'm thinking of getting it as i think the colours are gorgeous and don't own many dresses. Would love to see it IRL first though!
Also, how long do you think the trend of wearing everything with tights / leggings will last? Is it right to assume it will die soon with the onset of summer? The dress looks like it could be a bit short to wear without tights thats all i'm worried about.
Answer:
I love this dress, I always play the shopping basket game with it. :)
Answer:
I don't have the dress, but regarding your second question, I don't really see that tights/leggings trend dying out any time soon in terms of becoming unfashionable, if that's what you're worried about, if only because of it being practical, and in my eyes opaques are a wardrobe staple. Weather will probably dictate more flesh-baring, although I'll probably still be wearing leggings for much of the summer, because let's be honest, it's never that hot for any length of time in the UK!
Answer:

me too!
I'd get it in red to wear over my cropped black skinnies. It would work with opaques too though for a night out.
Answer:
I've had my eye on this since it appeared on the site
Go for it!
