Thanks for the discounts
Hi Guys
Just want to say thank you for the brilliant discount threads. I just placed an order with asos and at the last minute thought "oh, Ill check that thread and see if there is anything I can use" and low and behold some wonderful person had stuck a code for 10% off which saved me £19.50. Brilliant.
Wanna see what I got?
I will definitley be sticking any discount codes I find on there from now on. xxx
Answer:

Answer:
Ha ha, thanks very much. I wont tell you where it came from as its a slightly long embarrassing story but its stuck for the last 3 years or do.

O/T - Does anyone speak Danish?!
NO.2. ask :
O/T - Does anyone speak Danish?!
I don't suppose anyone speaks Danish and could translate a couple of sentences for me, could they?
Thankyooooo, anyone........:D
Answer:
i do! and so does miss sweetcheeks..
Answer:
Yay! I don't suppose it would be possible for me to PM you something I wanna say in Danish - would you be able to tell me how? :o
Sorry if it's a weird thing to ask. I would use one of those online translator thingies but they just spit out a word-for-word type thing which doesn't actually make any sense in the real world, don't they
Answer:
lol go ahead, but my danish to english is muuch better so i might have to ask for miss sweetcheeks to help if i don't know it!
i probably will though
TS 'Bronze' snakeskin wedges
NO.3. ask :
TS 'Bronze' snakeskin wedges
I know lots of us were after the silver ones, but I just noticed that they have bronze ones on the site now.
Not sure whether to get them, I kinda prefered the silver and I don't know whether it is worth buying anymore summer shoes. What do we think?
Answer:
I think I actually prefer those babies to the silver ones. They're VERY high though! x
Answer:
I really like that colour combo too. I think it would be a good colour to wear through into autumn.
Answer:
OMG, I love those babies!
Would everyone please stop taunting me with silly high wedges!!!
Answer:
:cmdunno: I think I might buy them. I do like them, I just wasn't sure if they were too dark in colour, but like Chat says the colour makes them very autumny.
They are really high but I think I would wear them as day time shoes, do you think they'd look ok with shift dresses to wear to work?
I actually think the fact that they are darker than the silver will make them more versatile and 'day' wearable than the silver. Oh dear I think I have talked myself into it.
Please help re. rescuing my fave shoes!
NO.4. ask :
Please help re. rescuing my fave shoes!
Hey
Went out last night (and had the best time ever :faint: ) but consequently my FAVOURITE shoes in the whole world are filthy! They're the ones from office, stripey blue and white with a red bow on the front. They're kind of 'material' type shoes if that makes sense, as oppose to leather or anything, so I was wondering what my best bet is?
I was thinking I could scrub it with vanish? Or perhaps just take them to the dry cleaners and hope for the best (do dry cleaners even clean shoes?).
Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom!x
Answer:
You could try sponge cleaning them, otherwise I would take them to the dry cleaners. We have a dry cleaners near me that will clean shoes etc. if you try somewhere like johnsons am sure they can point you in the right direction
Answer:
Cheers Jenny!
I'm really hoping they'll be okay, I love them! Have been frantically searching ebay for a replacement pair to no avail!
Answer:
Yeah I would try dry the dry cleaners. I wouldn't try doing it yourself, probably make it worse. It usually helps to tell the dry cleaners what it is, but I bet you don't really know!!! I am sure though that they've done this plenty of times and can sort something out for you.
Answer:
Cheers yingers! It's just general dirt, you know like dirty club floors? Just covered in black all at the bottom!
Will take them to the dry cleaners because I fear if I do it myself I'll just smudge the dirt in even more like you say x
O/T need to find a holiday!
NO.5. ask :
O/T need to find a holiday!
Helooo
Me and my friend want to go on hol and have had a look but can't find anything. We don't really know where to look/what we're looking for.
The specifications are:
-Fairly cheap
-Somewhere hot, ie turkey, cyprus, but not too fussy.
-Any time from the 22nd August, but would prefer to go in August.
-Flying from manchester but could do liverpool/somewhere near to manchester aswell.
-Either self catering or half board, not fussy but if there's a cheap deal half board we'd do that!
How do cancellations work? We were thinking we could do that?
Could anyone point me in the right direction/make any suggestions? Would be hugely grateful, can't wait for a bit of sun!
ETA: So far bcos we're not having much luck on the internet we're thinking a) search teletext (looking now!), or b) go to the travel agents and see if any cancellations! x
Answer:
Theres usually cheap package deals for about £167 for 7 nights in places like cyprus/ greece/ majorca in the travel agent windows. Have you had a look at those places already?
eta: teletext holidays seem quite cheap and sometimes have good deals on.
Answer:
Hi I know you said you would prefer August but if your both single girls presumably not taking kids or if your not school teachers then I think you should wait till the second week in September. Anywhere you go in August is going to carry a premium cos its school hols plus its going to be full of kids. Also I hear most of Europe is having a massive heatwave right now and is actually TOO hot. If you wait you will get a better deal and have more to choose from.
Regarding destinations I am no help at all but if you have somewhere in mind I would check it out on the Trip Advisor website as its all honest opinions, not someone trying to flog you something.
Good luck
Oh by the way I wouldn't bother with Teletext. They always have an advert with something like "cyprus £99" Then when you phone they don't have anything of the sort:mad: Stick to the internet or pop into your local travel agent I reckon
Answer:
Hello, thanks for the replies both of you :flower:
Just looking on teletext now and have wrote a list of the ones that look good. Will be wary of the prices suddenly jumping up though like you say green goddess!
Good point about going in september! I went to spain last year mid august and I just couldn't handle the heat, I felt ill! We could do the first week in September (like 5th September at the latest) but no later because I move into uni on the 13th!
Think we're going to the travel agents tommorow. With these cheap deals at the travel agents is it a case of strike while the iron's hot? Don't want to come back the next day to pay for it and it's gone!
Alicia it's funny you mention cyprus, I love it there! Cyprus in the 1st week of sepetmber would be ideal.
Answer:
Here you go.... just found this in a quick 5 min search, would deffo be worth checking the website a bit more to see if theres anything better
(not sure if that link expires but it works out at £434 between the 2 of you for 2 weeks self catering)
Link for the hotel is here
I would go on to see what its like.
We went to Cyprus a couple of weeks ago with Olympic on a cheapy deal and they were really good for the price we paid. would definitely reccomend them
Hope that helps!
