Is this okay for a wedding?

NO.1. Ask :
Is this okay for a wedding?
Sorry for another 'what to wear to a wedding' thread, but I have a wedding to go to in late September, and was wondering if this dress would be suitable? It's from ASOS, and by All Saints. What do you think?

I love the fullness of the skirt and the sash, but what should I accessorise it with? And what type of shoe - was thinking something quite high (I'm a heels chick), and sandally...?

Any suggestions most welcome! :D
Answer:
what's it made from ? It looks like it either is a really soft washed linen or cotton or it might be knit/t-shirt. If its the former then I think you could get away with it for a wedding providing you fabulise it with accessories. If its knit/t-shirt then I think it will be too casual.:( Its a gorgeous dress though as it can easily be dressed up or down. A perfect holiday dress actually (damn, wish I'd seen it last week so I could order it in time for this Friday...).
If the fabric is OK, then I would dress it up with some very glam sandals, possibly wedges but I'd be more inclined to go sandals to make it that bit dressier. A large clutch bag, a wide cuff on the clutch-carrying arm or several identical fine bracelets, opposite to the sash side of the dress and large but simple earrings - maybe just big hoops. do you still have Cleopatra style hair ? If so, I'd have it half up half down with a lot of fullness at the crown . I've got cleopatra style hair now and i am loving that Brigitte Bardot style for evenings out.
As for colour accessories, I'd wear a few colours, possibly a bright coloured sandal like a cobalt or jade or fuschia, but then a neutral/faded metallic clutch and gold jewellery.
since its late September you'd probably need a wrap or jacket but it depends on the venue.
gawd, now I WANT THE DRESS !!!
eta - and I probably wouldn't wear the sash in a bow. I'd tie it like a man's tie and just let it hang down. I think this is a slimming look as there's less bulk at the waist (paticularly as its quite a voluminous dress).
Answer:
Lovely dress, I was admiring it this afternoon. I think it would be fine for a wedding with some metallicy sandals of some description - what about any of ?
ETA: Got a feeling aren't available anymore but if they are they could be good...
Answer:
Don't take this the wrong way, but I think it looks a little scruffy to wear to a wedding, sorry :sorry:
As dresses go, it looks ok, I like the colour and the skirt bit but the top looks a bit casual effortless.

I agree about the top being casual. It looks a bit too much like a vest top for a wedding.

Suggestions for an outfit for a 10 hr flight
Can anyone put together a high street outfit for me for a 10 hour flight in 3 weeks?
I am flying to Vegas and need an outfit that is both stylish and comfortable. Flat slip on shoes a must as I do not want to be unzipping/unlacing shoes for the airport scanner!
The outfit must be suitable for both the cool temperature on the plane and the oven like temperature of Vegas (40degrees) on landing!
Would love to hear all of your suggestions..... as I am completely at a loss

    HI

How about for the top half, a hoodie with a strappy top or sumert similar underneath or even a cardi so when you get off the plane into the sun you take it off???

    Have fun
    Answer:
When I flew to Vegas last year I wore jeans (comfy ones) a vest top, a hoddie-the plane got really cold and flip-flops. I would say don't wear flip-flops, airport loos can get gross if you're wearing flip-flops:cmeek: I would also take a pair of fluffy socks, the ones on the plane were horrible and dyed my feet!
Loads of girls were wearing Juicy type tracksuits and they looked so comfy.
Have a great time. Wish I was going!
    Answer:
Lucky you off to Vegas
    I'd go for something like:
    * thin minidress or smock type, possibly jersey material or lightweight cotton
    * leggings
    * a longline cardigan to slip on if it's chilly here or on the plane
    * a pashmina to snuggle up in on the plane
    * ballet flats or if it's still warm here then flipflops (remembering to take some socks for during the flight - I always take super soft cashmere ones)
    * sunglasses for the glare at the other end
    Have a fantastic time :)
    Answer:
If I'm going from somewhere chilly to somewhere hot I always take a clean top and pair of shorts in my hand luggage then change in the toilets while I'm waiting for my luggage to come through. You feel much better in clean clothes and it solves the dressing-for-the-weather dilemma.
