Glasses help please!

Glasses help please!
Hiya,
Am off to the opticians first thing tomorrow morning for the first time in too long :o , and the one I'm visiting have lots of offers (Specsavers). I'm thinking of having Transitions lenses put into my new specs (if they still stock the pair I saw several months ago!), but have never tried them before. I'm fed up of changing out of and back into my 'outdoor eyes', but are they any good?
Thanks!
xx
Answer:
I've never had them but I was having a conversation with a lady in the office about them today and she thinks they're much better than faffing around having to change glasses... however, she is nearly 60 but did mention her fashionable glasses (they look alright too) so that they look good indoors and out.

Hi there

I wear my glasses all the time and have transitions/reactions lenses in them. I would defo recommend them, dont know where I would be without mine now, they are a Godsend! I have very sensitive eyes that water the second the sun comes out so for me they are excellent.
Its also much easier than swapping your glasses all the time, well worth the investment I say.

HTH xx

P.S. loving your avatar happy cat uk :D

1 Attachment(s) Hiya,
Thanks so much for your help, I have alot more confidence in ordering them now! Unfortunately I wasn't well enough to keep my appointment this morning, so am about to reschedule it now online. Am thinking of getting the following frames in purple (which look black IRL), as the really funky oblong ones with thick arms that they do don't suit me :boohoo:
PS Funky Monkey - thank you! I really love your name!!
Answer:
Awww poor you, sorry to hear you arent well chick, hope you feel better soon

Those glasses are lovely, i think reactions would look really good in them. I think the grey reactions would look better than the brown though...

These are my glasses:

PS Thank you :)

I've often heard this is a no-no, but how about brown tweed short with black leggings/tights???
    Yes or No?
Sorry am in abit of a rush, am off out soon!
    :)
    Answer:
Can work, yes, especially if the brown is lighter (chocolate brown and black usually dosen't look right to me). I wear mid-brown tweedy shorts with black tights pretty often in a/w.
    g_k
    Answer:
    It'l be fine.
    Answer:
I wear brown and black together, but I'm not particulary fashionable I suppose , if thats any help. But that sounds like it will work ok.
    Answer:
I wear brown and black all the time, don't think it looks wrong at all.

Indigo dark long nice fitting jeans help! :)
    Hey Girls.

Im after a pair of long indigo jeans, that fit perfectly and flatter my bottom! I want them to wear out so a pair that look nice and 'dressy'.

Im a size 12, and averagely proportioned, but want a pair that preferably isnt low waisted as have pairs like this but want something that will cover up my mini muffin top a little better.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Also I would like 'tough' material (Dont know how else to explain it!) The last few pairs I have got from RI have been a sort of elasticy material, I.E they will stretch, I want a pair that just fit perfectly. Thanks Girls! :D
    Answer:
Dorothy perkins jeans usually sit a bit higher than other high street jeans and are cheaper too
    Answer:
Was going to say Dottie P's too!
    Answer:
I would third DP! Have to say that the TS v-jeans are very flattering on me - probably too low waisted for you though?

They are quite tough material, dark indigo with a creased flare which is very thigh-slimming. Also the waistband is reasonably deep so I don't really get a muffin top.

    Good luck!

    Wearing my new (lookalike) Uggs
    Evening all

I got my new Kiwi sheepskin boots tonight following recs from you lovely ladies - they are identical, completely identical to Uggs and cost me £60. Brilliant.

Anyway, I'm travelling to Canada in September and was contemplating wearing my boots for comfort while travelling. I was just wondering do any of you wear your Uggs ever under trousers or is that a no-no? Over skinnies/tights/leggings only?

    What do you reckon?

    :D
    Answer:
i think they might be a bit bulky unless you have quite wide legged trousers.
but to be honest I think if you want to wear them under your trousers, you should wear them under your trousers!
if thats what you wana do then do it :D
    Answer:
Would be nice wide comfy jobs for travelling, probably linen or something similar. Just wanted to know if people think they look crappy under trousers!! :heyhey:

I agree. I've certainly done that before and if you want to do it, do it!
    Answer:
I've worn mine under the trousers before as i'm not bothered about that... but they do look like you've got much bigger feet and like you're wearing slippers!

1 Attachment(s) I never wear flat shoes but these are only £11 from the catalogue do you think they are ok?
    Answer:
They're cute! I'm 5 ft 4 and hardly ever like to weat flats either but like the little micro wedge:D. They would look cute with skinnies.
    Answer:
yes I thought this too...they are a pale gold.
I thought they are cute but was worried that they may look a bit like those gold granny sandals old ladies wear
    Answer:
    I think they are a bit granny-on-a-cruise-ship.
    Sorry :(
    Answer:
I think they could be lovely, depending on how you wear them. With the right thing, and with black skinnies or jeans in general I think they'd be fab xx
