Any Ideas?
1 Attachment(s) Hello, I'm a bit of a lurker but have just bought a stunning new dress (£15!!) and been bought a f*cking gorgeous pair of shoes and H2B has reliably informed me its too dressy for anywhere we go or anything we do.
So, I put it to you lovely fashion ladies: where would you wear this dress and shoes too??
Answer:
it is very dressy, not the sort of thing i could wear down my loca, it depends but if you dont think your gonna get much wear out of it i'd ebay it if it still has a tag on
Answer:
this is what i was dreading :(
i've got a posh wedding coming up at a posh hotel, but again, too much? it makes me soooooo happy when i put it on (like an 80s-bratpack-starlet)
i just want one occasion, one. I'll grab some ferrero rocher and gatecrash an ambassador's shindig if need be

I wouldn't say so - not for a posh wedding at a posh hotel! Add a fascinator and you're off!
Answer:
if you have a big occasion coming up id keep it, as its such a bargain, maybe not something you'd wear once or twice a month but at that price i'd keep hold of it

    o.t thread
Yet another o/t thread from me,but i feel this is my here "home" and value the views of you girls.
Im due back to work on Monday after being off for nearly 2 months. I left to go on a 6 month career break to work with people with special needs and after being there for 3 weeks i realised it wasnt for me. The job itself was good and i was good at it. It was mainly the nighttime and lonelyness that got to me.
So im back at work as i said, having been allowed to start back early.
Im a civil servant(in the loosest sense of the word) My work and room i work in is very gossip centred and whatnot.
Im not your averge 26 year old,i dont mean that in a snotty way. What i mean is that Because i have a lot of visable tattoos(this isnt a issue for me but you would not believe the amount of folk that assume these mean that i am unrelieable,a slag, bad influence etc) im outspoken and know what i like. I also am passionate about my likes,im very left wing(my room is so full of small minded sun readers, who hate any colour apart from white and have a fear of non straight guys). I do stand out.Im like going out but they assume that i do drugs lots, sleep about etc etc.
The way my work is and the fact that everybody knows everybody people know im back and the trouble has already started.People are saying im a failure and im a waste of space. Before i left to go i had a not that wasnt signed saying that i should die and was a waste of taste etc.So this is what im up against.
Im not a bad person and i just need to get through this to earn much needed money.
Im not looking for sympathy i guess im just looking for advice on how to ignore the gossip and get over it. I do seem if you meet me confident but im so chicken hearted and i dont want to cry all day at work!
Have you ever stood out or had arses having a go at you?
The thing is i dont regret going down because i gave it a try and you never know unless you try but it seem that these people love to label somebody a failure. But dosnt everybody try stuff!
    Answer:
its tough, you've put yourself out there some small narrow-minded people love thinking that you have failed, thats human nature, its very cruel but people in offices are like that things wont change there, there will always be someone or something to gossip about but it wont be forever.
You had the guts to give something else a go, unlike a lot of people where you work who have always wil play it safe never take a risk. I hav emet a lot of people like this in m=places wher i have worked, who have stayed in the same job for years are very bitter, dont let their bitterness get you down , you are young theres loads of opportunitys out there for you
    Answer:
All I can say is rise above their petty mindedness and know that deep down you are the better person. Bear with it and DON'T REACT for three-four weeks. I guaranteed it will all be old news by then. Onwards and upwards m'dear!
    Answer:
I think if someone were to confront you with the fact they considered you a failure you should say its none of their business and you're not interested in their opinion. You can say you are glad you had the experience and that you have learnt things from it and of course at least you gave it a try. Try to ignore the small minded people in your office and be proud that you gave something a go..I went to university and dropped out and a lot of people judged me too ' well you were already in your second year why didn't you just carry on'
I'm firmly of the belief that you don't continue doing something that's making you unhappy and you're a stronger person for admitting that and coming home rather than suffering.
Good Luck on Monday and remember the fashion girlies are always here if you need a chat
    Answer:
That does sound tough, but as everyone else has said, go in there with your head held high and do your best to get through the first few days, they'll soon get bored and move onto something else. Is there anyone in your workplace who you are good friends with who you can arrange to have lunch or coffee with on the first day back? It'd give you a little something to look forward to when you arrive, and a distraction from the gossip mongerers. Maybe plan a treat for yourself for when you finish on Monday too, even if it's just something little like a nice coffee and a magazine somewhere to reward yourself for making it through the first day.

When I left university I ended up on a graduate scheme training to be an accountant and absolutely hated it, I used to get so depressed at the thought of going to work each morning. There was a fair bit of bitchiness in my office, a few people in particular who used to make mean comments about people, like going on about how one guy was really sad because he always used to read sci-fi in his lunch break and he must not have any friends for example, and I'm sure they bitched about me behind my back.

Thankfully I did realise I was unhappy, and made the decision to leave, and it was certainly the best decision I ever made. I decided to go on a teacher training course, but that didn't start for about 10 months after I'd made the decision to leave, so for the sake of my finances I had to stay in my old job for that time, but knowing that it was coming to an end certainly helped, I just gritted my teeth and got on with it. So my final piece of advice would be to start looking for a new job, and look forward to the day when you can tell them where to stick it! While teaching is an incredibly stressful job, I am still so much calmer and happier than I ever was before.

Hi, i am looking to purchase a pair of Love from Australia Ugg Boots on the Internet.
I have searched the web High and Low for the cheapest price available.
I have found a site that sells them called trendysteps.co.uk
They are advertised as a new cheap designer shoe site.
I just wondered if anyone has had any dealings with them and if so, were they reliable and were the shoes good quality?
    Many thanks
