Customs

NO.1. Ask :
Customs
Hi everyone

Was wondering if anyone could give me some advice.

I purchased a few tshirts from an American websitre (80sTees.com) and payment cleared, through paypal, I recieved an email from 80s Tees saying it had been sent out on 10 July and would arrive 6-10 days.

I am still without the shirts and don't know what to do? I have contacted them, they are saying if def. went out and some of their parcels unfortunatly get delayed. I had been given the tracking ref and tried to track it with Royal Mail, USPS, ParcelForce, but with no luck.

They said to also contact customs and see if they can tell me anything as it may be being held up there but I dont understand - is there a customs website i can put my tracking ref in or do I have to call etc?

I'm asking as I know a few of you buy clothes, bags etc from USA and wondered if you had same probs. I'll really mad

Any help would be soooo appreciated, thanks in advance XX
Answer:
What exactly does the tracking say? I normally shows when your parcel goes through customs so if that's where it's held up then it would say so.
Answer:
Hey Looney

I have put the tracking ref in all the mentioned sites and each one is saying it cannot track the number at all
Answer:
I recently had a parcel get held up by customs and it showed me on the tracking number it was there.
It normally says 'can't track at the moment' when it isn't in the system.
Answer:
5710395) It normally says 'can't track at the moment' when it isn't in the system.
That's what I would tend to think although I once had a pacel that wouldn't be tracked and it still arrived fine
I would probably contact the company again and ask them to confirm the tracking number and also to let you know which carrier they used.
Dunno, something doesn't seem right here and I'm not convinced it's the customs' fault.

:D  I swear we haven't had one in a while...I'm already in full swing for Autumn so my list is shaping up as follows:
    - light grey tweed short shorts
    - darker grey ribbed tights
    - flat vintage boots of some description hopefully in a light brown.
    - a coat, possibly navy, tailored to the waist then with a kind of full skirt. (Topshop are you taking note please?)
    - some MAC eyeshadows and their false lashes too
    - some deep V tees from AA in a taupe shade and in mint green and white too me thinks
    - a knitted dress for autumn
    - am also still looking for some cheapo vintage wayfarer but no luck  at the mo
    - a large envelope clutch either patent and structured or metallic and slouchy.
    - and fingers crossed this year i will FINALLY be able to find the perfect vintage fur jacket that i have been searching for for years.

    A new job!
Apart from that, very little. There's nothing in the shops that catches my eye at all, and I certainly don't need anything for a/w. I'd like a new winter coat in plum and a couple of new smart heres (one scarlet, one deep green) but that's literally all!

I took a load of stuff down to Shelter on Monday and on my way back from the Post Office today see that my dress is in the window:D It's a pretty cool dress and I'm not too sure why I gave it away (hmm, probably because it's about 4 sizes too small and I haven't worn it since 1999!). This is the second time this has happened to me and it kinda makes me feel quite proud:lol: :o
I know this is a silly thread but I'm in that kind of mood:D
    Answer:
What is wrong with that - you obviously have good taste.
Ita a great way to recycle clothes which are too big or small but with nothing wrong with them, someone with not much money gets a chance of great clothes and you get to help a deserving charity.
    Well done you!
Wish more folk would do that!
GRR the clickable link in the text above was not put there by me.
    Answer:
:D The same thing happened to me this week too dots, I filled a couple of bin bags and mum dropped them at the charity shop. I walked past a few days later and there is my brand new skirt hanging in the window!
It is a nice feeling :) xx
    Answer:
    Dp!
    Answer:
Thats great, you should feel proud :D
We had a Help the Aged bag come through the door this week, was just going to find some stuff to put in it, then I read on the bag 50% goes to Help the Aged and 50% goes to a commercial company  .
I thought that was quite bad that the charity receives so little of the funds raised.

Returned from back of beyond - whats in fashion??
    Hello!
I have just returned from travelling, and having lived out a backpack for the past 6 months, my sense of fashion is severly lacking!! I have tried checking out a few magazines, but they are just full of autumn styles at the moment, and I am still holding out that we have a few weeks of summer left at least
So basically, when I left it was all skinny jeans, boots and tights and dresses (this was mid winter) so what is everyone wearing now?? I need guiding, please help :cmdunno:

    Answer:
Hello. Welcome back. Did you have a good time? Argentina wasn't it?
Anyway in answer to your question, the following things have been around while you've been gone
    Maxi dresses
    Slogan t-shirts
    Wide-legged and/or high-waisted jeans
There have still been loads of dresses and tunics but most people are sick of tunics now and looking forward to something else.
    You haven't missed much really.
    Answer:
oo, I like the sound of maxi dresses, but high legged jeans?? and slogan tshirts????
Yup, argentina to start, then went to most out south american countries too, amazing but back to the real world now :boohoo:
    Answer:

    Answer:
Just to say welcome back :D
