After 4.5 years together, myself and mr.irisheyes relationship ended yesterday. It had been coming with a long time. In the end, I knew that I could not stay there any longer without going completely crazy. Although we are best friends, and love each other very much, I just couldnt cope with his inability to be part of a relationship, and all that entails. It was like we were living seperate lives, dipping into each others every so often. For me, thats not enough. He comes from a difficult childhood which has resulted in him not being able to let himself get too close to prevent himself getting hurt. I understand that, but I just can't stay with him as it was hurting me too much.
I feel ok about it. I know I made the right decision for me, but I will miss him so much, and I will also miss dreaming about the future I always thought we would have together. I will have to gather up all his things sometime during the week, and drop them into his house while he is at work, and take all my things from his house. I hope I will have the strength for it.
Thanks for listening, I just had to tell someone about it all, and I just dont feel able to discuss it all already in my "real" life.

It's been like summer in london today!
I went to colombia road and bought flowers, then to brick lane and ate pumpkin, goats cheese and rocket pizza and flapjack in the sun with the ex. Now trying to simultaneously bag, read the sunday times, glue seqins onto my sun visor and watch the oc, with limited success.
Also wondering if I dare go bare legged tonight - first time since the end of last summer :eek:

Bare legged sounds good, as long as you don't feel the cold. It's lovely in the sun but it's supposed to be chilly tonight (I sound like my Mother telling you to wrap up warm :p )
I've been very lazy today, lounged in bed until midday then went for a lovely walk along with canal. We then dusted down the garden furniture and sat in the garden watching all the barges go past.
Now I'm bagging and catching up some admin whilst watching all the stuff on Sky Plus that Mr Shiny hates as he's fast asleep :sleep:
Need to get up the energy to have a bath and cook a roast dinner soon. I love Sundays!

Hi guys, sorry it's been a while and this is probably only going to be a flying visit but I needed some help with something.
Yesterday I ordered some clothes from the miss selfridge website... having place my order using a couple of promotion codes I had, the order went through and I got an email confirmation through as usual.
A little while later, I got an email from their customer services telling me that 'due to issues beyond their control, my order has been cancelled'. I have asked them why and have had no response and as far as I can tell, all the items are still available to order.
I have thought about re-ordering, but the code that I used for free pp was one use only, so that seems a bit unfair that I can't use it again because my last order is void. I'm not really bothered about the free pp, I want the items anyway and am willing to re-order, but I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen or other problems with ordering from miss selfridge lately.
