Guuuuuuuud Moooorning Staaaaaaarshiiiiiiiiine.........
........... the earth says helllooooooooooooooo........................ :D  Morning my little baguettes :heyhey: what do you have to report on the western front?
I had an eventful evening, with MrO arriving home early from training after taking a sliotar in the face.... lump the size of a golfball on his chin with a deep tear in the skin. I think that its testament to the amount of times he's arrived home injured that my response was along the lines of 'well feck you anyway, now we have to go to the hospital and americas next top model is on!'..... :p :D He insisted he was ok but the doc said that his jaw could be fractured or his chin chipped or something, so off we tootled to the hospital where there was another two big strapping men in GAA gear with injuries   he then spent the time in the waiting room and inside in emergency yapping to them about hurling and football :D and only needed a couple of stitches in the end. I swear I've seen more of emergency rooms in the last 3 months than in my entire life before
So Mr O and his wannabe forsythe chin are heading to all saints today to get my jacket for me because I was a good nurse !!!!!! wahooooo :D
I also listened to renaissance classics in the car on the way into work and am now hyper hyper hyper and still singing 'one day we'll allll beeee freeeeee.............' :beach: :tennis: :car: :rawk: :rawk: :numero1: :numero1: :whoop: :yay: :hippy:  :whistleb:  :rawk: because its nearly summer and its a loooooooon weekend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Today's 'weekend' thread......... what will I be doing?? I will be eating my own body weight (a substantial amount I'm sure you'll agree! :heyhey: :hmmm: ) in green and blacks and wearing my lovely aqua undies that Mr O loves and the new all saints jacket that he's getting me today and I'll be turning off ALL alarms and clocks so that we won't feel guilty about staying late in bed :p :D
Why is there never an impromptu rave in a carpark on the way into work when you need one????
O/T Cats and Trains
NO.2. ask :
O/T Cats and Trains
Completely O/T, but I know lots of you are cat lovers and wondered if you could help. Am going to see the parental units in wales from friday to monday, so am taking the cat as it's too long for her to be on her own and she doesn't like it.
Anyway, I would normally hire a car, but have left it too late so there's nothing cheap left. SO, what do you think about taking cats on trains? I could get a cab to paddington, but then it's nearly 2 hours from there. She does travel well, doesn't much like the car but sleeps the whole way normally. Train could be a different matter though. Do you think it would be just too stressful?
Thanks!
x
Answer:
aaaawwww !!!! Mrs Wembley's first train trip!!!!! :)
I imagine that if its not too far she should be fine? How long would it be?
Only two bad things could happen:
a) she starts a massive mewling and wailing and makes you want to melt with embarrassment
b) she could do a big number two and STINK you and the other train travellers out of it and it will be the LONGEST..... SMELLIEST..... and most bad tempered train journey in history....... :cmdunno:
Do you have a nice comfy carrier for her?
Answer:
Bejaysus, neither sound fun!!!
She is normally really good as far as the toilet is concerned. Even when we have been stuck in the most horrendous traffic on the M4 and our journey has taken 6 hours, she has never even peed.
She is ok with her carrier. Maybe I could make it more comfy and put blankets in it.
On principle though, you don't think it's a terrible idea?
Answer:
I once was on a train from Lancs to London (2.5 hours roughly) and someone was travelling with a cat who was absolutely fine all the way through, they even let it out to explore a little :cmeek: . These things will always depend on an individual cat, if she's a good traveller then she'll probably be fine.
Answer:
I took a cat via taxi to Kings Cross, then on the train for two hours then drove another two hours to it's new home and it was fine, just went to sleep on the train. I don't think it's cruel as long as they're happy in their carrier it will be fine :great: I bet Mrs Wembley will enjoy it!

Also, HM have some beautiful suede sling back peeptoes in a grassy green (roughly the same shade as the Jones ones, but a truer green IYFWIM). think they're about £25-30 and are quite comfy.

Answer:
Must keep an eye out for that Yorkie one!!
What a complete waste of time that was!
NO.5. ask :
What a complete waste of time that was!
Am I the only person who hasn't bought a single thing for spring/summer yet? I've just got back from a trip to York and I didn't buy a thing. I'm getting really pee'd off with going to the shops and coming back with nothing. I wanted a couple of tops and a light jacket - saw maybe two or three jackets I liked - all size 8 and 10, fantastic, so glad they stock a range of sizes  . Didn't see one top I liked, everything is either nude colours or acid brights or white. None of which suit me. And what the hell has happened to the SKIRT. I couldn't find a single one (unless you count frumpsville Monsoon - yes I got that desperate I went in there, or stuff that's so short it would barely cover my crack).
Needless to say I've come back in a foul mood. Tell me I'm not the only freak that keeps going shopping and coming back empty handed  :boohoo:
Answer:
no trust me you are no alone!i have had this discussion many times lately!
i just think most things at the moment are all the same - fantastic if you like smocks and whacky patterns /loud colours .......but i do not! they do not suit my shape at all (not that that seems to be stopping some people though!)
Answer:
i've bought a few pieces but most of the S/S trends won't work for me. I've bought:
the TS K jeans which I will only be wearing under smock tops or mini-dresses which I will wear as long tops
various wedges
the butterfly dress from TS (to be worn with K Jeans)
the long leapard print maxi dress from TS (to be worn over vest tops or more likely short-sleeved t's)
can't remember what else but have bought various other mini-dresses....but I will wear them as long tops. i intend to channel the floaty demi-sheer smock or tight fitted mini but only over K jeans, cropped trousers or my knee-length shorts with wedges / havs.
Answer:
I've had similar troubles :( I really dont like or suit the smock / tunic / empire line / paperbag / babydoll etc etc styles which are in fashion at the moment and it seems that EVERY dress and top is made that way, so I have hardly bought a thing in months. I do like wedges, so at least thats something, but my wardrobe is looking pitifully empty. To make things worse, I am smaller than I was last summer so I cant even re-work anything from then! Just hoping it doesnt get too hot before I manage to find something, anything that looks good :cmdunno:
Answer:
Poor you...I would have just gone to the Mulberry outlet and cheered myself up with a cut-price here!
"I may be wearing last summer's gear but I've got a hot bag!"
