Red funboy boots- yay or nay?

Just looking at these:
and think I might order them when mum gets back, they're only £22.50 with the discount so, bargain!
I really like them and think they will look good with black mini tunic dress and other plain-ish outfits, just to jazz up a boring outfit?
Buuut by the same token I don't want to look like an idiot!

How can I salvage my favourite boots?
This is a bit a long shot but I thought if anyone could help, it would be the girls here!
I have a pair of boots that I got from La Redoute years ago and I absolutely love them. They are flat, pointy, black and thigh high, and I can't find another pair like them anywhere. Anyhoo, the pair I have at the moment are getting a bit worn, especially the 'leather' on the toe (though I suspect its PVC) - it has been all scuffed off and I wondered if there was anything I could do to fix it? Would a shoe repair shop, the kind that does re-heeling, etc. be able to fix them, or is there some miracle product out there that I could paint over them to make them better. I'm clutching at straws here, aren't I, but I really don't want to throw them away and I can't find a replacement pair :(

I took a pair of battered boots to a repair shop to get re-heeled and without even asked they fixed up the toe part as well! There could be hope them yet! :)

whenever i have taken boots to be reheeled they also paint over the toe and heel for me too!
defo take them to a cobblers!
