Help! (Part 2)
I have tried, and failed, to buy two pairs of shoes over the weekend ready for my posh night out on Saturday. Now I'm in a bit of a panic! The two I wanted were the Copacabana ones from Aldo in bone, or similarly the Asia slingbacks from Carvela in bone. Both are now out of stock in my size and Kurt Geiger can't find a pair of the Carvela ones in my size! Also have the problem that there's no Aldo in Wales..
So.. I need to find another pair of shoes, something similar if possible, to match a black dress. I really love the block wooden heel of the Aldo ones so if anyone's seen any similar shoes could you let me know? They don't have to be in the bone/pale colour. Anything will do at the moment!
Budget is around £80 max, although I could be persuaded to go higher as I just got a refund of £60 for a dress I took back.

I would, but they're sold out in every size apart from 8! I've even called my friend in London to see if she could pick me up a pair but she can't get there in time..
Do you think Aldo will take a payment over the phone and send me out a pair? Otherwise I'm stuck! I've searched Topshop, Kurt Geiger and Net a Porter and I just can't find anything :(

Zara have some nice shoes at the mo. I saw some really nice cream platforms in there on Sat. They don't have a wooden sole, mind. But they are lovely. They have a sort of elasticated strap. I'm probably not making them sound too hot. But they are. Or Office maybe. But I wouldn't order from Office online, not if you want them by the weekend.

It came this morning and is absolutely gorgeous much nicer than I thought!
Its predominantly in a warm silver tone with a gold beige suede detail, a buttermilk silk lining and a white silk dustbag - fully zipped and with silver hardware and all the authenticity and care cards !
The workmanship is amazing which probably explains the price and so is the smell new leather here!
The pics really don't do it justice !
They also sent me a free copy of Elle and a limited edition pen for the cancer charity the profits of the comp went too - a very happy LouLou today!

I have an interview this morning with a big blue chip company and am struggling with what shoes to wear.
I'm dressing v.corporate with a dark grey self stripe suit, with wide legged trousers and turn-ups, over a plain black top.
Do I wear my TS patent red platforms, which go really well and make the outfit a bit more interesting, or do I play it safe with black Caves?

1 Attachment(s) So i have been looking for the perfect summery dress i can wear to my boyfriends dinner and dance in a couple of weeks...i love this one from asos but plan to change a few bits as it is totally boring, going to put gold ribbon round the bottom to make the length of the dress abit longer and gold pipping round the puff sleeves, and wear with bare legs, and gold pep toe shoes and jewerlly and gold cluth bag!

Very inventive! Sounds good to me, but of course it's hard to really comment until we've seen the finished product. I think it'll look fab as long as you can sew well and the finish is good. :)

I just found a really nice dress for a wedding in Reiss. I couldn't decide if I should buy it so I came home and was going to send a www link to my friend to see what she thought of the dress.
Not only is the website really crap but the pictures don't stand still and my dress isin't on it. In fact theres not much on it at all.
Anyone know a better place to look or is that it! I really wanted to show her it before i bought it!

not sure if it's on the site that pip posted (which is indeed a great site) but you can do a print screen from the reiss website. Get the image you want up on screen then press the print screen button (I'm not sure where it is as I'm at home and on my mac which doesn't have one) you can then paste it into paint and crop it and save it again and you'll have a jpeg that you can email!
