O/T totally self-indulgent post, in need of virtual hugs!

Mr GJ left to move away and start his new job this evening, and I'm missing him sooo much already :( He left about 6pm and I went out with my girls for a drink straight after, which helped to take my mind off it, but now I'm back home and feeling very sorry for myself! I've spent practically every night with him for the last year, so it feels really weird to be at home on my own.
I've just phoned him and he hasn't met anyone yet in his new place, so he's sat in his room on his own and he doesn't even have a telly - which for some reason has made me really sad. I just want to be there with him to give him a cuddle! No point to this post really, other than to have a little self-indulgent moan :o I know things will get easier, it's just these first few days that are going to be hard. I might have to go shopping tomorrow to cheer myself up :o :lol:
Thankyou to everyone who gave me such helpful advice on my other thread about it - you all really helped me to put it into perspective, and we've had a really nice 'last week' together - it's just tonight I feel rubbish! Ah well, going to go and eat an easter egg now even though it's 1am :lol:

It must feel so crappy knowing he is just sitting there by himself not doing much either :cmdunno: It's good that you spent some time with your mates to take your mind off things. Of course it's going to be terrible and you are going to miss him like crazy but think about the bright side: you will probably get closer to your friends because you'll spend more time with them, anytime you do spend with your OH will be extra special and luverly and he isn't *that* far so you can see him fairly often AND you can go shopping tommorroowww.....:yay:

Hi I am still in the UK - I have been invited to the pete doherty gig as I know a photographer who will be there. At last I have a chance to go out - but what to wear.
So far I have bought summer dresses (pics to follow) so the only option at the moment is a pair of citizens of humanity black skinny jeans with either black suede elevators or black patent platform wooden wedges.
Sorry I don't have camera here ...
I could wear this with black studded leather belt and black hairband ...
then what top ... perhaps I could get a very fine black and white striped t-shirt - argh. I don't want to look like a fashion victim but I also want to use the one time I go out to a gig to feel a bit more fab ....
or perhaps I should wear a dress?
Oh well at least I have black mascara and false eyelashes at the ready ...

I always wear flat shoes/ boots to gigs- my poor feet would never forgive me if I wore heels. Dress so that you're comfortable and feel confident. Don't go too OTT- I'm not being very detailed with ideas am I? :rolleyes: Bloody insomnia- I need some :sleep: to function/ bag properly :lol:

How about the skinnies and a print tee with some bright beads. And some flat brown or tan boots, like the Office Fawcett or Barratts Star Boot. And maybe a nice bright across the body bag :D
