FAO Tiny!

FAO Tiny!
I got the office plait sandals today!
I think my ankles are too thin to carry them off :( Not helped by my feet being so pale at the moment making everything look shite
Will try and take some pics when i have tanned feet in a couple of days :)
Got hold of yours yet?
Answer:
 Hiya hon!
I did indeed, the girls in work absolutely loved them even though I felt a bit :cmdunno: myself when I tried them on. I think its the shock of my feet being so open to the air for the first time this year! :) They were a bit loose around the foot/ankle all right when I put them on first, and I felt like they might fall off ? but I just tightened the strap and they seemed ok. My only :cmdunno: is that its a velcro closing, and remember from when I was a wee one that velcro crossings do tend to lose their stickiness after a while...... but then hopefully I'll not be trotting through any muddy fields in these :o so they might be ok :D

just come back from Primark, hanley, stoke on trent branch, there were new maxi dresses, ethnicy style print, cotton, strappy, low nice but very very long £14, voluminous, think these will sell well though . Also spotted those metallic macs, £14 i think, not sure wbout where/when id wear this so didint bother, more lovely dresses, a cream black variation on the pinky/back floral dress, high waist drainpipes but no high waist shorts in my size.
I was quite restrained; got some short khaki cotton shorts £5, some dark brown moc croc ' caves' for an interview next week , £12, tights, scarves for mum gran a short black knitted short sleeve dress, this is nice as its ' pleated' knit, very soft £8, looks good with tights boots.
    Answer:
the knitted dress sounds nice, will check it out :D
    Answer:
Ooh I am so envious of you guys being able to nip in and out of Primark. Primark was such a big sacrifice for me moving to Spain as I used to pop in at least twice a week. I'd love to see all those dresses and the metallic macs. The UK is definitely a shopping mecca with Primark at the core.
    Answer:
Oh they sound great, im hopeing to get to our nearest city where the primark is big on sunday, im so excited and Mr P dont mind to much as its so cheap, im easily pleased :D
    Pacha x
    Answer:
I'm liking the sound of that maxi dress.

    Hey fashion lovelies!
I did promise to hang around here much more and I still only lurk mostly! The most gorgeous and lovely Shiny has reminded me that you are not scary at all so I'm back again! I am much amused by the :troll: thread (though, that does look like a smiley that should be in between the sheets).
I've finally started doing some shopping for clothes, but in my typical 'style' I find something I like and wear it to death! Currently it's leggings with long tops/short dresses and little black pumps.
My plan is to get bits and pieces every month rather than every decade, so I shall be around much more. However, I am currently eyeing up a Suzuki GSX 1400 which will take up my spare cash, I hear tomorrow whether that little plan will happen!
Anyway, what's your fav thing to wear at the moment? Mine is definately above mentioned outfit.
    Answer:
just fort id give u a little:wave:snot nice bein ignored by the in-crowd is it:lol:
    Answer:
id say my favourite outfits atm are:
my 70's style flared jeans, and my celia birtwell halterneck top. ive had the top for ages, but still love it. oh, and my dune wedges.
skinny jeans, still!, or leggins, worn with tunic style tops (my dari-meya's my fave) and tops with loads of volume and puffy / bell sleeves with slams.

How sweet of you, I actually don't feel ignored, I think they're rather distracted by some idiot posting silly things - would you believe it?!
Anyway, thanks for your kindness, now run along, surely you have friends in the local bus stop to hang around with?

I'd love to wear puffy sleeved tops, but I feel a bit strange in them!

If anyone is going to peacocks in the near future would they mind picking me up these shoes please?
I'd be eternally grateful, I love them to bits. I'd need a size 3 please, and they are £12. I'd paypal for them, postage and a little extra for your troubles straight away naturally
I've never had a plea sucessfully fulfilled so have my fingers crossed!
    Thanks x
    Answer:

    Personal recommendation?
Someone has started a thread asking for recommendations of London dressmakers which got me thinking...how about a recommendation thread?!
Anyone want to recommend a good tailor, invisible mender, shoe mender, dry cleaner? Or anything more specialised? I would especially like to know of a good drycleaner as last time I got my Burberry trench cleaned at Jeeves it cost £45!
    Answer:
Good idea, rollergirl! Mine isn't really fashion related, but can someone recommend a bikini waxer in London? :o I've posted in Beauty, but no replies!
    Answer:
£45?! You got bumped!! That'd prob have cost you £8 in my local dry cleaners.
It's hard to rec unless you live in the same area cos I'll be damned if I'm gonna treak across London carrying a load of dirty clothes to go to one place iykwim.
Local places are much cheaper than the known brands of dry cleaners and shoe menders anyway.
    Answer:
Caramel, I know but I was scared to take a risk cos it's Burberry, like:lol: And if I took it to my local I know they'd get all press-happy and start pressing with a too-hot iron and make it all shiny!
KellyBean it doesn't have to be fashion. I can recommend a nice wee cafe in Bayswater Road if anyone's interested. It's called Cafe Diana and it does a lovely chicken tikka pitta bread sandwich (yum) and has photos of Lady Diana all over the walls...
