Wearing your 'nice' clothes when you're having a minging day?!
Okay, bit of a weird thread title, but I couldn't think of how else to put it  It might not make much sense but bear with me...
Basically, I've noticed that I only want to wear my 'nice' outfits when I've had time to get up early, do my hair, make-up etc. If I'm having a bad hair day or have a spot or something then I'll just put on a plain vest and cardi with jeans and no accessories, and certainly no prints. I don't know why I feel like that, but its like I don't feel like I can do a fashionable outfit 'justice' unless I look nice from the neck up too  But then that means most days when I've been in a rush I put on plain boring clothes and look like a right scruffbag!
Just wondered if anyone else does the same, or is it just me?
Edited for spelling :)

I totally understand what you mean, i do it all the time. I can go to work caasual too, so when i go to work i think oh ill just throw any old thing on and stick my hair up, not like ill be seein anyone i want to impress :o
I always feel my clothes will look crap if my hair/face does, and i dont want to 'waste' my nice expensive ones, which is stupid really because i should be getting even more wear out of those.
Not sure if any of that even made sense :cmdunno:
Answer:
i definetly do this! i was late today so couldn't do my hair properly so just had to fling it up and this kinda set the tone for the rest of my outfit which was very blah!
xx

Yes! That's exactly what I was trying to say, only you've put it better than I did :D Glad to hear it's not just me who feels like that!
Answer:
I know exactly what you mean GJ!! I do this too. BUT sometimes I also do the opposite , if I wake up with a new spot and my hair is doing the flock-of-seagulls thing then I sometimes have to put something nice on or i'll be too depressed at my reflection to leave the house!
here Admin?
NO.2. ask :
here Admin?
May I just ask a quick question?
I've been busy all afternoon so am unaware of any bannings being made today but there was a very obvious troll on the boards this morning and while i agree, it hasn't been *too* offensive and probably should have been ignored, it is quite clearly a bagger who is using another name on a deliberate mission to well, I don't know what it was trying to do but it clearly wasn't a case of a forgotton password.
I feel it is a real shame that a few regular baggers have been issued warnings over this today even if they have broken the rules. Surely trolling is also breaking the rules and this should have been taken into consideration?
Can you please explain to me why this was allowed to happen today and why a banning wasn't made as soon as it became clear there was a trolling issue? I personally havn't reported it as I found it slightly amusing on an otherwise dull morning but it did upset some people.
Thanks
Answer:
Here , here Pol.
I'm shocked that it seems alright that someone can spend all morning winding others up with no other contribution to make to the board. Shouldn't they have been banned immediately?
Answer:
Why didn't you just PM this to admin? The "troll" went awol hrs ago and this is just bringing it all up again
I don't see the point in started another thread which will draw attention to this person - which is what they want!
No, it's not fair that those who weren't trying to cause trouble today have got warnings, to my knowledge it was just the one person who did, correct me if I'm wrong though.
Answer:
CX, because I think other people might want to know the answer to my question. As I pointed out, I havn't been here all afternoon so have no idea about the trolls whereabouts. Thanks for the advice on troll handling but i think I did ok on my own!
yeah, there was more than one warning dished out although L2S's was bad enough.
Answer:
i totally agree blonde this troll was allowed to blantantly bully and harass baggers , and i received a warning okay i used bad language but it was provoked and this troll has got off scot free , think its totally unfair
Inexpensive shoe reheeling in London?
NO.3. ask :
Inexpensive shoe reheeling in London?
Does anyone have any recommendations? I currently pay a fiver each time (which I think is a pretty good rate) but as I only ever wear heels it all adds up. If anyone knows of someone who'll do a good job for a pound or two less (or offer a bulk discount  ) I'd be grateful to hear. I'm mostly in Chelsea/Fulham but happy to travel a reasonable distance.
Answer:
mmm,not sure about prices, but theres a couple of good little shoe repair places near Tottenham Court road area (Fitzrovia)-the best one is on Ttottenham street which is off TCR,just after Charlotte st.Theres a 'posher' shoe repair on Goodge st and a shoe repair inside Goodge st station.
Answer:
How about SouthSide shopping Centre?
That is near you isn't it Sloane Square? There are def some shoe repair places in there. Not sure how much they charge tho. But at a guess I'd say cheaper than around your way. I think the prices are probably a bit steep around Chelsea and Fulham because there is a lot of 'money' in those areas.
But I'm sure if you pop up the road to Wandsworth, you'll find somewhere more reasonable. I live in Tooting (not that far from you) and I pay £2 to get mine done and that includes a polish :D
Answer:
Hey hey tooting, sounds like you're from my neck of the woods. I used to use the guy down that older side "extension" at the Southside centre but after a while he got more and more expensive.
Now I use Village Klean as they pick up and deliver from my porter/building, and bill me monthly...sooo much easier!

Hey hey PC,
God how handy that they pick up and deliver!
Oh I forgot to ask you on my TS wedge thread. Did you have fun on Thursday? Such a shame we didn't spot each other. I had a great time. Didn't get home until 6:30 am :o How bloody busy was Fabric tho? I couldn't believe how packed it was. X
ASOS discount code??
NO.4. ask :
ASOS discount code??
Sorry rubbish thread..! But does anyone have a ASOS discount code? The couple I have arent working anymore booo
Answer:
If you can wait a couple of weeks I think someone said there will be a 20% off code in Company magazine on May 3rd.
Otherwise if you want it now, it's worth checking out this website for a couple of 10% codes - not sure which one works but it's worth trying a few -
Answer:
I think vcard07 is still working for 10%, but the next 20% one will indeed be in company (it was me who posted that titbit :P)
ETA: Try vcard2007 as well in case :)
Answer:
Thanks both, VCARD2007 works :D
how many items do you buy in a week?
NO.5. ask :
how many items do you buy in a week?
...or in a month, if youre like me!
i probably buy about 5 items a month, certainly not a lot. although some months i'll buy more than others, but atm im making an effort to buy a few lasting pieces as i have LOADS already!
so, do you want to be honest...? ;)
Answer:
God, it varies so much, depending on what time of year it is and how much money I have (i.e. just after student loan time I'll buy loads, other times I won't buy anything!) I've been known to buy 20 items in a week before, but then other weeks I won't even buy 1.
It probably averages out at about 4 items a week over the year, but that's a total guess
Answer:
varies, but i change my mind a lot so stuff goes back, at least 1 thing a week id say !
Answer:
It varies with my student cash flow but I'd say it was about 3 per week. I should really cut down
Answer:
It varies from none to, ummmm, many. Depending on whether I can find anything I like in Primark, and how good the charity shops are...
g_k
