White broderie anglaise tunic?
Has anyone seen a white cotton tunic with broderie anglaise detailing on their travels? I have looked in every high street store available to me today and I haven't found anything suitable. Thank you :)
Answer:
Yeah I have one from DP.
Primark have them in aswell, though they look a bit cheap tho' - oh maybe that's cos they are!
I'll post a pic of the DP one ... 1 sec
If you look at the pic closely you can see the broderie anglaise pattern all over it. It's very cute IRL.

FAO Lisa and CIC - Pics of the Miss Selfridge dresses
Hi chicks!
As requested, here are the pics of the Miss S dresses you were both interested in.
It's more flattering on than it looks in the pics.
Sizing... Both come up small; I got a 10 and could probably have worn as 12 as well - neither dress is cut for ample boobage (both are snug on me and I'm pretty flat!). This is about par for the course for Miss Selfridge; I'm usually a 10-12 in their dresses.
The strapless dress in particular is too tight at the top, even on my modest boobs; it's elasticated at the top though and it's easy enough to take the elastic out (and add a softer one in should you wish), which is what I'm going to do.

Thanks for the piccies Geek! The patterned dress looks really nice on you but I think I'm going to leave it as I have a feeling the sleeves will make me look mahoosive with my boobs but thanks for letting me know what it was like anyway. It looks great on you, I love the colours :great:
The strapless dress is fab on you too, looks very cute with the beads :heartpop:
Thanks again chick sorry for the delay in replying to your PM, will do it now! :)

Do you like this dress?
 Hi all, after having a bout of rotten flu :ill:, am back to posting!
Bought this dress with the Easter money from my mom dad, what do you all think? Yay or nay? Ws thinking of wearing it when it gets warmer, with my grey New Look wedges, and any other suggestions from you peeps!
The dress (ignore the rubbish in the background, am currently tidying up :o)
Close up of the print:
It's a creamier colour IRL and the blue and pinks look a bit warmer IYSWIM? The edges around the neckline, sleeves and waist are navy blue.
Answer:

Thanks BexS, I was just thinking that about accessories... wondering which colours would look best and whether I can use ones I have or maybe have a mini spree when I go back to uni
And I do feel a lot better these last couple of days :)

Hunt for graduation dress - please help!

Hunt for graduation dress - please help!
Hi girls!
I have my uni graduation ball in June - it's a big formal do (parents invited), long dresses, the works :D
But... I need a dress! I know it's only April... and I'm in the middle of writing my dissertation and technically that has to be finished before they let me graduate... lol
But ignoring that minor detail ;) I'd like to start hunting now. I'm in France so anything from the UK would have to probably be bought over the internet.
I'm blonde, pale colouring (hopefully i'll have a little tan by then!) blue eyes, average height and size 10-12, hourglass shape. I was thinking either dark blue or burgundy? I'd love something a little bit unusual too. ooh and it has to be long (floor length) too because I hate my legs! :D (I have weird ankles :boohoo: )
Does anybody have any good recommendations of websites/shops?
Any help's welcome :flower:
Thanks!
OB x
Answer:
I'm not sure if this is the kind of thing you're after, but I ordered my ball dress from here -
There are lots of different styles and you can see what it looks like in all different colours.
It doesn't say they ship to France, but you can email them to ask. I ordered my dress from a shop and the guesstimated time was 6-12 weeks, so you could be cutting it fine.
(incase you wondered, my dress is on the left, fourth row down and is the dark green colour!)
Hope I helped!

Office Discount problems
NO.5. ask :
Office Discount problems
I am confused! I ordered 5 pairs of shoes/boots during the latest Office discount (ages ago now!) I hadn't heard anything, so I emailed and got this reply:
Dear customerI replied saying that the order number did not match my actual order number, and there just seemed to be something fishy about the whole thing. My card has never been declined before, and the addresses definitely match. I asked if I could just cancel the order and resubmit it. I got this garbled reply:
Thank you for your recent order at the OFFICE London web site.
Your card issuer has advised that the billing address supplied does not match with their records, or they have not been able to check the billing address.
For security reasons, we are required to do this. As a result, we are not yet able to process your order.
I apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause; however, I hope you can appreciate our efforts to protect our customers from credit card fraud.

If we have had no reply within the next 7 days the order will be cancelled.
Dear customer,The order number definitely isn't correct! I think I'm just going to leave it so they cancel the order. I had kind of accepted that I wouldn't get any of my items anyway after the fiasco with Office last time! Do you think I'm mad to be so wary of sending my details? Did anyone else get anything like this? And is the discount code still working?
Thank you for your email,
The order number you receive on the email that was send is correct. I cannot resubmit the order you will have to send or fax one of the indentification ask for in the email that was send to you.
Thank you
End of rant! :o
Answer:
office
Don't send any of your details by email..... this looks like a dodgy phishing scam to me. Call Office, from their website number, not a link, or ring a store!
Answer:
I've had this before from ASOS and there was nothing dodgy about it (i had moved house so address was wrong). You may have simply mis-typed your address?
Why don't you give them a ring about it - that should put your mind at ease? I rang ASOS and then faxed over the requested details and it was all sorted.
Answer:
yeah id try and call office HQ or customer services and try and get some concree answers off them. After the last sale fiasco online i wouldnt trust them as far as i could thrrough them! Hope you get somthing sorted though RB, would be a shame for youto end up with no shoes!
ETA: Actually now i think about it ive had similar problems in the past when ive typed in my uni acco (a few years ago this was!) in as my billing address, but obviously the address my card was linked to was my home address, so it may be somthing like that if you're a student or have recently moved house??
Answer:
Thanks girls. I think what I'm going to do is just let them cancel the order and order them again. I checked the address and it was typed in fine, haven't moved recently etc, so unless it was maybe a random check. Funny it happened with Office as am always suspicious of them anyway! I did have a feeling I wouldn't get any of my order, so not too fussed about it, I can always have a mooch round the shop at some point. I'm just so wary of giving out details and it seems so odd that they can't sort it out somehow without me sending them a copy of my passport etc!
Thanks again girls! :thanks:
