oh joyous summer.........
Just spent our lunch-hour sitting outside the pub across from the office, with the sun beating down on my back while eating a huge chicken salad........ we were SOOOOOOOO tempted to order a big cold pint of beer but probably would have spent the afternoon    so thought better of it!
This is what is ahead of us ladies!!!!!!!! :)
Answer:
It's dull and overcast here in Bristol. :boohoo: Where's the sun gone?
Answer:
We did that last week when the weather was really nice Shiny. It makes you REALLY not want to come back to work though doesn't it !!
Although we did buy a huge glass of wine so that could have something to do with it !
It's not very warm here today though :(
Answer:
It is quite dull here in the mids too. Over last weekend I indulged in a few pints of Magners cider and was    the majority of the afternoons
Answer:

I have my legs out so it must officially be summer. Roll on 3.30 when I finish up.
GATC and anyone else who has the Office 'Emily' boot
NO.2. ask :
GATC and anyone else who has the Office 'Emily' boot
What do you wear them with?
Mine have just arrived and I love them, but am a bit :cmdunno: about how to wear them. I know that's it's nearly summer now so not boot-buying season, but I've been lusting after them all winter and gave in when they were reduced.
GATC- I'm not imagining you having a pair am I? :yaright:
Answer:
When I first saw the title to this, I thought "Emily boot", nah never heard of them, I didn't realise that's what they are called :o
Woo hooo yes I have Emily boots in the grey, like your pic. I wore them to the Brum meet so that's where you would have seen them.
I have forgotton about them actually but when I've worn them in the past it's been grey/black or indigo skinnies tucked into them. I would also wear shorts or pretty little dresses with them.
I really love them and they are so comfy, far better IRL than in the pic IMO. I was tempted to get them in another colour actually.
Answer:
Hurrah, I didn't imagine it :yay:
I was wondering about them with skirts and dresses but wasn't sure if they'd make my legs look chunky by covering up my ankles.
I think I need to have a mass trying on session
Thanks lovely
Answer:
I also have them (Well, the primarni version which are exactly the same) and wear them with skirts/dresses or skinnies
they are very versatile and I'm sure you'll get more wear out of them this winter if it's too warm just now
Answer:
Hi shiniaholics  , I bought them in teal a year ago and they're my favourite boots! I wear them with skirts and dresses and they look really cute, they don't make legs chunky at all! I love them because they look vintage and they're so comfy. ;)
Cant find the shoes I want
NO.3. ask :
Cant find the shoes I want
In my head I know exactly what I want but just cant find them!!
Wedges or Thick soles (Mary jane style chunky). Not too high as I want them for day to day use.
Brown/Tan (or could go blue).
Perhaps a strap with a cute button.
Not too expensive (but havent even managed to find many expensive ones either).
Checked out all the usual suspects but just cant seem to find what I would have thought would have been a popular style.
Any ideas?
Answer:
Would this kind of thing do?
they are from topshop, quite old but some shops still have them and there are always plenty on ebay
Answer:
I looked at something slightly similar today in NL, but wasn't sure about the suede. Do you have them? Are they comfy?
Answer:
What about the ones that some of the girls have from peacocks? think they are only £12.
Think it was Sammeh who has recently got some :)
Answer:
I did see on the shoe porn thread some yellow ones - they'd be cute in another colour (dont really own anything yellow!). Might check Peacocks tomorrow, as I missed it out today.
Floaty / Hippy Long Dress - Miss Selfridge??
NO.4. ask :
Floaty / Hippy Long Dress - Miss Selfridge??
I need to find a picture that I actually saw on here - it was a long floaty/hippy style dress and I thnk it was from Miss Selfridge - can anybody find the pic for me?
If not of that - then similar - have a friends wedding on 4 May - and seeing as though I have knees that resemble Farleys Rusk (yes you read right) - I prefer all my dresses to cover the said rusks!!!
Thanks for your help!
Answer:
Was it the festival dress?
Answer:
How about this one from Primark? I have been stupidly lusting over this for the past couple of days!
Answer:
That Primark one is gorgeous - is it in stores yet?
Answer:
I don't know!! :boohoo: I'm going tomorrow, I'll let you know if I find it!
Why is it that...
NO.5. ask :
Why is it that...
.... whenever I'm about to meet a bagger I get spots
I never get spots on my chest, yet now the sun is shining and I was going to wear my lovely new sundress into Brum I wake up looking like Harry Enfield in Kevin and Perry?
Tis all you Birmingham baggers faults :head:
Answer:
LOL its sods law isnt it, I always seem to get spots before a night out.
Answer:
Sods law exactly *nods*
To make it worse, my next day delivery DP order isn't here and the website doesn't recognise my tracking number. I need the order for tomorrow as it has the crops I want to wear in it.
Now I have a spotty chest and no trousers :head:
Answer:
Aww bloody sod's law...it's rubbish isn't it? It's for the same reason that you wait in *all* day for a delivery, and it comes the minute you decide to pop to the corner shop, as happened to me this morning
I'm sure you'll look gorgeous whatever you wear hun! What are your DP crops like? I bought some cropped skinny jeans from DP the other day and I am *so* impressed with them! They've got some lovely clothes in lately :great:
Answer:
I've even checked in case they left it on the doorstep or behind the wheelie bin, which is what they did last time even though I was home!
Grrrr...
What colour crops did you get from DP GJ? They had so many lovely ones on the site it was hard to choose!
I went for one pair of crops and one pair of ankle length jeans:
I'm so short of summer clothes at the moment!
