Quick question - do we like these shoes?
http://www.shoe-shop.com/invt/ss23125gol
That's all - just after opinions, wondering whether to stick them in the basket - thanks!
Answer:
Not my cup of tea, sorry
Answer:
I dont look at them and love them, but I'm sure if I saw them on someone I'd think they were fine, everyday kind of shoes.
Answer:
I think they'd look nicer if they had a little mini wedge rather than the kitten heel thing but like what chocolatejo said, I think they'd look perfectly fine in an everyday sense.
Answer:
As long as 'granny on a cruise ship' doesn't spring to mind, then that'll do me fine!
Ta ladies
Flight mask
NO.2. ask :
Flight mask
Girls, do you know anywhere that sells silk or good quality flight masks?
To cut a long story short, we are moving to Hong Kong on Wednesday, and when we get to our new apartment there are no curtains!
So, we thought we'd buy nice masks (not the itchy ones Virgin give you:) !) and use them for the flight and then to keep out the light to sleep in the flat.
We can get to London or to Bluewater to buy them (or buy them in T3 at Heathrow).
Thanks in advance ;)
Answer:
These might not be what you're after as they contain lavender etc but they are quite funky.
Eye masks
Answer:
Figleaves do some nice ones also.
Answer:
They probably have things like that in Boots. I don't know what they'd be like though.
Answer:
I saw some really amusing ones in Urban Outfitters yesterday... they were furry purple ones and said 'f*ck off' on them.
Hmm... probably totally inappropriate for flying with but I thought I would mention them as I found them so funny... but actually seeing these actually inspired me to make some myself, but I guess leaving for HK on wednesday you probably don't have the time.
Maybe try topshop, accessorize new look... I think i've seen them in these shops before, but couldn't tell you for certain if they have them now. Another good bet would be John Lewis.
how can i experiment more?
NO.3. ask :
how can i experiment more?
Hullo!
i wonder if any of you lovely ladies can help me!
i have what i would consider a fairly basic and classic wardrobe.
im a size 18 and although im in proportion i find it hard to find things to fit me
i have a lot of dark jeans, fitted wee cardigans, black stilleto boots etc.
a friend of mine recently had on a blue v neck jumper with a brown vest underneath,it looked really nice
im not scared to experiment but can just never find anything to experiment with,if that makes sense?
darker colours suit me and i dont mind wearing something really noticable its just putting colours togeather that swamp me.
i want to move away from black.
what colours go togeather and "clash" well?
thanks

Answer:
I was just thinking the same thing! I used to be terrible with colour but I'm getting better. I have the added bonus of having red hair  so there aren't that many colours that suit me. But I struck out and bought some really bright C C tshirts to layer - I got purple, burgundy red, and turquoise - and they all look fab with each other. I wear a different combination every time and it always looks really fresh. I'm just wearing them with my classic dark jeans.
In Marie Claire this month their 101 ideas (the affordable fashion bit at the end of their fashion section) has given me inspiration for next time I go shopping. Each page has a different colour combination (they do this every month) and I find it really useful for ideas. I love every page this month. The first page is aqua green (a really nice turquoise shade) layered with apple green, lemon and white, the second page is coral and navy (I think this would look really good on me if I find the right shade of coral) with white the third page is lemon, white and beige, then turquoise white and beige. Flicking through these pages I could see how a few key classic pieces can be mixed and matched to create different looks.
I also find InStyle magazine is really good at putting pieces together, every now and again they do have a colour feature and they put things together I would never have thought of.

Start with accessories perhaps? Colourful shoes, bags, scarves, earrings, broches, belts, that sort of thing.

I *heart* green :D It is my favouritest colour in the entire world :D
I wear a lot of soft greens and chocolate browns together. I'd say to start with mix colours with neutrals (khaki, brown, taupe, cream, white, black) and when you start getting a bit more confident start mixing colours :)
How do you wear your.....
NO.4. ask :
How do you wear your.....
...flat booties and jeans???
do you...
1.tuck them in
2. roll them up once so a little boot is showing
3. roll them up twice so most of boot is showing
4. don't wear them with jeans
I have just bought a pair of flat suede boots in chocolate brown and a pair of beige Ugg types and was wondering how you wear them with jeans (getting fed up of skirts and I trust you guys :) )
btw, I just tried to post this as a poll and it was deleted? it wasn't offensive not sure why???
anyway, how do you wear yours???? ;)
Answer:
see doll :)
I think you can wear flat boots with almost everything and they look funkay!!!
:D
only #1 with one pair of jeans (skinny)
2 and 3 mostly
:)
Answer:
Depends on the length of your legs...
I'd go with 2 and 3 - I can't tuck my jeans into my boots without looking like a parsnip.
But as AC says, flat boots go with just about anything!

a parsnip.... how could you possibly ever look like a parsnip :)
Answer:
Well.....
Parsnips: kinda fat at the top, and thin at the bottom.
I'm quite muscular and athletic, with fairly curvy hips and thighs and relatively slim calves, so when I wear either skinny fit trousers or tuck my jeans into my boots, I have the kinda fat at the top and thin at the bottom effect. Hence I look like a parsnip!!
Or, for an even better image, my legs just look like two parsnips side by side...

I want these shoes!
NO.5. ask :
I want these shoes!
I got the shoes like these from schuh in both lilac and green. I'm still in love with them. Does anyone know where I can get other colours or will they never be seen again as they are a/w?
Answer:
I saw some gold, brown, red and black ones in a shop in Leeds called Garage I think.
Answer:
Try any Ravel stores near you - they have some in a peach/cream colour in the sale, and you might just be able to bag yourself a bargain!
good luck
