Oh my god

NO.1. Ask :
Oh my god
Weekend all! As you know I'm not around at the weekend but I just had to tell you all about my new bag!!!
You might well remember I started a thread about heres about a week ago... well yesterday my boyfriend came home with a load of stuff from his aunts house (she died and they were clearing out) incuding the most gorgeous vintage 70s bag in the softest tan leather! It is my dream bag and it was totally free :D
I love my new bag :D
Answer:
Its nice that some of her things were appreciated, and 'carry-on' if you know what I mean!!

    NO.2. ask :
Anyone ever get really fed-up of all their clothes?
I am really fed up of all my clothes atm,I tend to wear the same style things over and over, and when I try to do a 'new-look' I don't feel right,or I feel overdressed!
Partly,it is due to my age,35 ,I dont want to look like mutton dressed as lamb, and so many things in style atm,I have seen before  .Also,I am not in a job where I can wear what I want-I am soon to change to another job where I have a very strict guide on what I can wear,so when I do wear my own things,it is usually jeans, because of comfort+I know I look good in them.
    I find myself mainly wearing....
jeans-I've got quite a few pairs
    blazers
    retro t-shirts
flat boots 'cos of the comfort factor
    and big belts,
does anyone else ever feel like this,or,as my signature says 'IS IT ME?!'
    Answer:
I feel like this too sometimes! I just feel silly when I try new looks. I guess everyone eventually finds their own style as different things suit different people, so what might be boring to ourselves might be exciting to others.
Maybe you can try making small changes? eg. try flat pumps instead of flat boots, a style of jacket that is not a blazer, a skinny belt or scarf instead of a big belt etc.
Personally I love the sound of your style. I love retro t-shirts but they are so not me. T-shirts make me look like an 8 year old :( :o
    Answer:
    Hi,
thanks for your reply,I am better at picking clothes that suit now, instead of things I just like, but sometimes I feel boring!!
I do try new styles in clothes, but tend to not always feel as confident in them, and worse,I feel as though I am dressed in someone else's clothes!
This somes up my style atm,'jeans with a nice top'!!-this is what I will wear to everything given half a chance!!
    Answer:
I couldn't agree more, I am bored, bored with fashion in general. The weather is so dull - I desperately want the spring/summer to come.
Although, I love my clothes and haven't found anything in the shops yet. As my clothes addiction finally slowed down? This time last year, I would spend all my spare money on Vogue, Elle, Instyle. Now I much prefer cd's, gigs and music magazines.
That's not to say everynow and then I raid my wardrobe for new outfits, and put my music on :D
    Answer:
Ms Dkm,I think thats part of it-I am always so cold that I dont want to wear anything else other than chunky jumpers and Uggs!!:(

Where can I get a top like this.....?
    Hi
I'm looking for a top like this but in a pale blue/aqua colour or at a push navy blue. Preferably in satin.
    Seen anything similar??
    Thanks!
ETA: It also needs to be fairly easy to find! I need it for next weekend! :)
    Answer:
I have a similar top in an aqua colour from Warehouse, bought it last summer though. I saw some similar ones in Kookai a couple of weeks ago - think they had silvery lace bits on them too, sounds awful but they were really nice - and they weren't in the sale or anyhing so might be worth a look...
    Answer:
    What about this?
    Only £10 as well! :)

    NO.4. ask :
getting denim dye out of boots
I've been wearing my tan Frye boots with dark indigo jeans, and in the rain the dye from my jeans has been coming off on the boots.
Does anyone know a way to get the dye out of the leather?
I've tried wiping it off, but it seems to have penetrated the leather.
    :(
    Answer:
How about that suede/leather cleaner that you can get in a can? Or taking them to a professional dry cleaners (who specialise in leather too, i.e. Johnsons) ?
    HTH
    Spooks
    Answer:
Thanks spooky, I have an irrational fear of dry cleaners, but there is a new specialist one that's just opened up near me, so I might give them a call.

    NO.5. ask :
    Platform shoes and skinny ankles!
I'd quite like some platform shoes for spring/ summer but I've got quite slim calves and ankles and when I've tried platforms/ wedges on before I've been told I look like a spice girl, not the best look
So has anyone seen any nice platform sandals that aren't too 'chunky'? Anyhing under £100 will be fine and don't really mind what colour...
    Ta x
    Answer:
I haven't seen any but what you just said reminded me of the ridiculous block heels I'd wear to school teamed with my chicken legs! NOT a good look!:o :o
    Answer:
I am sure you would look ok in them-afterall models wear them and they all have skinny legs don't they? There were quite a few recommendations for wedge heeled shoes in another thread if that is what you mean by platform (?).
    Answer:
I have the most beautiful silver snakeskin miu miu platforms ($99 on Ebay!!) and love them more than anything, even though I can't really walk in them. I have tiny ankles and they look fine - they're a very elegant shape and because they're so shiny don't look like you've got a block of wood attatched to your foot like dark, clumpy platforms often do.
I'm a little stuck as to what to wear with them, though, any ideas?
    Answer:
They sound gorgeous!!!You could wear them with...
a suit-they would look so fab like that!!
    with turned up/cropped jeans-50's style
a dress-makes it look funky rather than just pretty
    with tweed-I love that contrast!
pretty much anything I would say-silver is fairly versatile.
