Miu Miu shoe sizing?
I'm getting sorely tempted by the gold Miu Miu slingbacks on NAP but having never bought Miu Mius before I don't know what the sizing is like and I'm not likely to be near anywhere to try before I buy. Does anyone know if they run small or large??? I'm thinking as with a few designer labels they probably run a bit smaller so as I'm usually a 5 in high-street sizes, try a 6 in these? TIA :)
Answer:
I have a couple of pairs of Miu Miu,and I find they come up large,i.e I am a 4.5/37.5,but only need a 4/37 in them.
Answer:
I agree - Prada/Miu Miu shoes are on the large side - I'm a size 7 but can take a 39.5 in Prada/Miu Miu.

Ooh Toosh I posted about those shoes in my skinny ankles/ platforms thread (I know they're not platforms  ) I'm very tempted to get them they have my size in stock....
Answer:
My Gucci shoes are very large sizing. Im normally a 5 or a 6 over here in high street shops but my Gucci's are a size 4. My god there is no way on earth i could squeeze my trotters into a pair of size 4 shoes from the high street

Answer:
I'd say that Claires Accesorise would be the best place.
I have often needed something a bit bling/diamond like stuff, for parties stuff, and they have never let me down.
Lots of goodies to be found, dirt cheap glitzy:great:
Answer:
thanks miss sweetcheeks, i hadnt thought of there actually. all i could think of was river island and mikey - both tend to be a bit pricey!
:p
Answer:
1 Attachment(s) Debenhams always have diamante necklaces and chokers which aren't that expensive but look great. Oh and I second Claires Accessories, they have thin diamante bracelets in different shades all the time. I think i saw a few diamante pieces in Monsoon Accessorize but nothing spectaculer. Though I do like this necklace:

What to wear??~ i have a London College of Fashion interview very soon for Fashion Management. Anyone have ideas on what to wear? Its a round-table discussion type and "semi-informal" - but thats no help whatsoever! Ideas?
Answer:
My best friend is doing the very same course (she's in her placement year at the moment), and I remember her panicking about the interview. She didn't know whether to dress fashionably or smart!
I think in the end she dressed quite tidily, smart-casual I guess. Tailored trousers, a nice top and a smart jacket, but with a few funky accessories. She was accepted with no problems :)
Prepare yourself for the entry tests they give you though, they're apparently quite difficult! Oh, and good luck, the course sounds brilliant - my friend's ended up working for Mulberry as a result.

Good Idea or Bad Idea?

Good Idea or Bad Idea?
I'm off on a night out with my friends tomorrow night and am thinking of wearing a long length plain beige top with stringy type straps (kinda casual) and was thinking of cutting up an old pair of cropped jeans I have, so they'd look like long shorts. What do you think? I'm always wearing jeans and really don't want to wear a denim skirt so was thinking of the long short option, but because I don't have any, does that idea of cutting up some old jeans sound good? Would wear some high heels of somesort and asseccorise with a nice belt over the top and fun jewellery.
Answer:
I think that's a great idea, I have some cut off jeans and loads of Spanish girls wear them in the summer.
I wear mine with really glam shoes as the contrast looks great.

Jorts! (Jeans + Shorts) Do you read the MakeupAlley message board? :D
Answer:
For me it would be a no-only because I wore them in the early 90's though, listen to the others,I am a bit out of touch maybe!
Answer:
I haven’t registered with makeup alley but Jorts? That’s a good one!!
Yeah I’ll wear my ‘jorts’ with some nice glam type shoes Mimi, was thinking of my bronze mary jane style shoes or my snakeskin almond toe shoes or a platform peep toe style if I manage to buy some tomorrow. I remember cut offs in the early 90’s lomie but they were proper short shorts, I’m planning on the jorts being knee length :D

Answer:
Hi..I did my degree at LCF..just trying to think what I wore for my interview, but it was about 6 years ago so not having much luck...!
I would say go fairly smart for a fashion management course interview...maybe a blazer with skirt and boots?
If you have any questions about LCF just drop me a PM.
Answer:
I'm at the same uni at the moment, but not LCF although I go to LCF to use the library and for lecture's regularly.
My advice is don't worry too much, they are far more interested in your portfolio, your commitment and your ability to finish the course (course fees!) so wear your favourite outfit and don't worry too much.
Hope it goes well,
Letticexxx
Answer:
I'd agree with Lettice Returns. I had an interview there a few years ago (and got a place that I ended up turning down and now regret...but that's a whole other story!)
Anyway, I found that the majority of people were quite casual and just wore an outfit that they felt comfortable in and showed off their personality. Can't actually remember what I wore, but I can remember it being very informal.
Sorry not to be of more help!
Answer:
thanks everyone!!
