Topshop Ruched Tees and Vests
Just looking at these on the website - does anyone know which ones I mean, and what they're like in real life?
Answer:
Yeah they're just ordinary cotton tops - nothin' spesh really. Good for under cardis/tops.
Just basic tops.
Answer:
Cool, thanks. I'm after some 'nice basics' and I thought they might be a bit more interesting than just a plain crew neck / kate vest. Might order a couple, thanks.
Answer:
Are these the ones with the rough edges? If so I have a couple fo these and they are rather low cut on me. I need to layer them with another vest or t under them.

V.Last minute fancy dress!!
Only just found out that the party I'm going to tomorrow is themed fancy dress and its going to be a Caribbean night!
What exactly can I wear then?? If it was Hawaiian I'd understand but not quite sure what would be classed as Caribbean!!
I dont want the works (as in a full outfit) since I'm mega skint and I bought a new going out outfit before I even found out it was fancy dress  and I'm off to a fancy dress shop later but need a couple of ideas just for some accessories... or anything really!!
Help!!
Answer:

Not quite fashion but shipping costs....

Not quite fashion but shipping costs....
Morning!
Can anyone shed any light on this - may be someone who regularly buys from overseas??
I've bought an item from a seller in the US and the need to pay about £70 to Parcel Force before I can collect the item....would this be shipping costs or import costs?
I'm just wondering if the seller hasn't put enought postage on the item - £70 is a lot to pay!
Thanks
MM
Answer:
How much did you pay for the item? That could be a combination of import tax, VAT and their handling costs. If the item didn't cost much it may be that they didn't put enough postage on it but surely if it was sent for a PO as a parcel that would have been impossible?
Answer:
Sorry, double post.
Answer:
Hi Bella,
I paid £290 for the item or US $500
I've never really bought from overseas so was a bit shocked at having to pay just to collect the item!
Answer:
Sounds like customs duty/import tax - I paid £120 for some trousers from the US, and had to pay £30 customs duty.
:)

Purple Haze??
My friend and I are thinking of starting our own label of clothes, nothing major, just things we would like to wear and see how it goes. Sell to a local shop we often go into, through friends etc
She's come up with the name Purple Haze...what does that make you think/what sort of images does that conjur up??
Thanks so much fashion baggers,
BL xx
Answer:
sounds a bit hippyish.
Answer:
Purple haze makes me think of a slightly bohemian 70's style label that make individual clothes that are a bit different, a bit arty and very unique. I think it's the colour purple and the haze bit which gives it the hippy vibe. That's my opninion anyway!
Answer:
I instantly thought of "hippy" type clothes, long floaty skirts and tie dyed tops.
Please dont listen to me though I am quite known for spounting a lot of nonsense:lol:
Good luck with your new business venture:)
Answer:
Like the others have said, it reminds me of hippyish, 70 clothes.

...come the summer?
I'm fed up of having to wrap myself in five layers of clothing and huge boots before I venture out, and not being able to wear any of my pretty summer clothes :( It was sunny at the weekend  and it got me thinking about all the clothes I liked wearing in the summer and how much I was looking forward to wearing once it gets warmer!
In particular, I really want to wear:
-- My ballet pumps, particularly my new gold ones
-- In fact, any shoes other than big boots! Especially ones which make painting my toenails worthwhile!!
-- My cute cropped fifties' jackets
-- Vests and halternecks without a t-shirt underneath
-- Soft floaty girly skirts
And lots more, I expect, but I can't remember all my summer clothes because they're wrapped up in special bags!
How about everyone else?
g_k
Answer:
I wear all my clothes all year round - with the exception of my cropped jeans. I am queen of layering and just wear my summer skirts with tights and big boots :D
Actually I dont wear my kaftans/hippy/peasant tops in winter so it will be nice to drag them out in the sunshine :)
Answer:
Maternity trousers:D
Answer:
I can't wait to wear some nice bright colours - for some reason most of my winter clothes are black/brown/burgundy.
Can't wait to wear my mad fish shoes - they are coming out as soon as the temperature is double figures
Can wait to wear a nice skirt without the 100 denier woolies underneath.............
Can't wait to wear my cute denim jackets and blazers without freezing my bits off - I'm sick of winter coats.
Answer:
Oh this is cruel geek_kitten : making us think about warm summery things on such a cold day! :D
I can't wait to wear sandals, very girly skirts, sleeveless tops and delicate necklaces.
And I want to be able to sit outside again. I hate being trapped indoors so much of the time.
