Messenger?

Just looking for a few ideas... I'm going on a soccer trip in April and I'm a bit afraid to being an actual 'hand'bag with me. I was thinking of maybe going for a messenger bag type? Not the big laptop sized ones, the smaller ones. All eBay have to offer are gucci/prada, neither of which I like.
I don't *do* football but I'm accompanying my mate who LOVES it. I'd like something practical that I'll use again when I come home.
Any ideas?

i got a gold faithfull bag from lush a few months ago and i love it. i wear it messenger style, on my left shoulder and across my body. it fits loads. i do go to matches and i use it. its cool with denim jacket/combats/timberlands/chunky scarf etc... i dont think lush do them anymore, but you could try ebay....

Looking for any help from you wonderful people :cool:
Have Uni ball coming up (a charity event rather than an end of year kind of occasion, so more like a big party than a formal do) and have no idea what to wear.
I have some boring black standard dresses/skirt top combos that I always drag out for formal (okay, no jeans!) occasions, but desperately want something more interesting this time.
I'm not looking for full on ball gown or anything, ideally i'd like a pretty skirt that I can wear for this and other occasions with different tops (if its not too much to ask also be dressed down for casual wear!)
Had a trawl online but all the high st. shops (websites@least) are full of boring black and tweed and the sale leftovers, and I want something fun! Oh yeah, and im a student, so therefore budget is important- sadly!
So if anyone can offer any help whatsoever i will love you forever! x x x x

Loads of cheap ball style dresses in there, that will do for nights out or hols, parties etc.
Loads in the sale, many under £25. Go and look, may be worth going to more than one store. Okay some are Social club style, but at least the others are more up to date, and not mass produced!

I am desperately seeking a bright coloured, fitted shirt for something on friday, and have scoured the shops, but at this time of year, wedged between the end of the sales and the summer, I haven't found ANYTHING!
Can anyone help? Has anyone seen anything online - ideally in a bright green or blue, or even red?
Would appreciate any help - time is running out!

Have you tried any of the big department stores, Next or Gap, even (haven't been in for a while, but they normally do brightly coloured stuff, I bought a fitted grass-green blouse from there last year). Would suggest La Redoute (lots of coloured items!) but their delivery can be very slow.

In a misguided moment, I was browsing the here.com Shopping section (not the forum) and came across this.... "L" lady sexy dungaree set
If I was confused about the clientele they were trying to attract ( is it the ladies' leisure suit wearer who used to buy here outfits from the Radio Times reader offers? ) I sure as hell am now....
If I'm missing a key fashion look for next season, do please enlighten me. Isn't the above the sort of outfit that was last seen on a she'll come to no good type girl in a bar in 1980s made for TV movies.....
Sarcasm aside, any good links to sites higher-ish end fashion shopping sites I can browse (I only know of net-a-porter and yoox) gratefully received so I don't have to re-enter the hell that is the shopping section....
