I've managed to order from the American one too since the UK site opened, by changing my regional settings.... But, I think they may have cottoned on to this now.

The UK one is VERY expensive BTW.

    Ponchos - opinions needed!
Okay, this is a tad embarassing, since after ranting at length on the evils of ponchos, I am now seriously considering buying one!
The one I have in mind is from Kookai (hope they still have it when I go back tomorrow) - it's quite glam, peach coloured, fairly short, very lightweight with a longish fringe and sequinned here and there. I'm not really bothered much by fashion trends so I'm not worried about things being 'in' or 'out' - I'm more concerned about what I can wear it with because it's quite eveningy. I think it could be dressed down with jeans and a nice vest in the summer, but does anyone have any other ideas? And does anyone have any views on whether I should get it? It's reduced to around ten quid - quite a lot of money at the moment!
    g_k
    Answer:
Sorry G_K I'm not a big fan of evening ponchos! But I think it would look okay with a white vest top, jeans and heels, with peachy make up and sparkly jewellry :)
    Answer:
I could never get on with the ordinary kind because they swampe me. I like this one because it's delicate and light and doesn't make me look like a walking tent!
I'll have a look at it tomorrow and decide - any other opinions girls??
    g_k
    Answer:
Come on girls, 60-odd views and no more comments??
This is a radical departure for me - I'd really like some more opinions!
    g_k
    Answer:
have to agree with fairy-poppins, I'm not a fan of ponchos at all (any more!) but I especially hate evening ponchos, and peach is prob my least fave colour ever.
However I might be wrong and it may be gorrrg. It could be worn with jeans or over a Summery dress as long as what you're wearing underneath isn't to fussy or colour-clashing.

    Just wanted to ask,
when you use your debit car dot pay fror something from a US site, in dollars obvioulsy, how much does the bank normaly charge you?
    :o
    Answer:
it changes by day, it's usually somewhere near the current exchange rate but a little less favourable.
    Answer:
So they dont charge extra for the actual transaction?
    good stuff!
    Answer:
they never have for me, but the worse exchange rate makes up for it. they do get money off you somehow!
    Answer:
if you buy on a *debit* card you will almost certainly be charged a handling fee - usually 2.5% of the transaction amount. and the exchange rate will, as annanas has said, also be slightly less favourable.
if you buy on a *credit* card, you usually won't have have to pay a handling fee, although the exchange rate will again be less favourable than the published rate.
note also that a credit card transaction protects you from fraud because you are automatically insured against abuse and defective purchases - but you don't have this automatic protection from your debit card.

White gypsy skirts and metallic belts
Okay guys, this is definitely my last thread for today!
I've decided to get a white gypsy skirt (quite fancy wearing it with a denim jacket in the summer). Does anyone know where I could get a full-length one cheaply? I want to wear it as a dress as well, so it needs to be fairly lightweight. Plus I'm trying to find a metallic (preferably weave) belt - any pointers for a cheap one?
    Cheers!
    g_k
    Answer:
    Hey g_k,
Not sure about the gypsy skirt (although am guessing the usual suspects would be a good place to start, and Primark is king of cheapness so look there too), but I bought a woven metallic belt in gold, silver and bronze from Oasis in the sale for just a fiver! Otherwise there are definitely some in Miss Selfridge and I've also spied some in Kookai. They're pretty much everywhere, in fact! Extremely gorgeous.

    Answer:
Should've remembered Primark, duh (brain has gone liquid). I didn't see anything in my branch of Oasis, but I'll check out Miss Selfridge. Cheers!

    Answer:
New Look had a really lovely long tiered skirt at the end of last summer - I am hoping that they'll do them again this coming season.
I wonder if you might be just slightly early for this kind of thing though...
    Good Luck!
    Love Sara x :)
    Answer:
I got a nice gold/silver weave belt for £4 from Pilot of all places! Am wearing it now actually :)

Brrrr - Warm winter coat needed
Please, ladies, can i have some help. It is sooooooo cold outside, and I am in desperate need of a warm winter coat.
I am thinking I need something about 3/4 length to keep the chill out from my waist (as i always wear hipster trousers). I quite fancy a soft sheepskin coat, but the real ones I've seen are about £500 which is over my budget. I did see a beautiful faux sheepskin coat in House of Fraser 2 years ago, and it even went down to £100 in the sale, but i didn't buy it for some reason and it's now one of my biggest fashion regrets EVER
If anyone out there has seen/bought anything recently could you let me know.
    Thanks a mil
Sorry, forgot to say, I'm a size 6-8 so finding a coat that won't swamp me is kinda tough - any help SO gratefully received :-)
    Answer:
Not sheepskin but I've got lovely red 3/4 length Miss Sixty coat with big buttons. I think it cost about £220 and it goes in lovely at the waist. It's also very warm!
    Answer:
ah, thanks. I always see other people in Miss Sixty gear that looks great, but never have the guts to try anything out myself. I know they do small sizes too :-)
Will try to sneak out this weekend have a peep.
    Answer:
Yes they do small sizes! My coat is in 'small' which is great because it's really nipped at the waist but the sleeves are still long enough.
