An Anya Hindmarch thread - but NOT about THAT bag!!!
Hey peeps :)
I have been thinking about getting another bag......I have a black luella (baby gisele), which I love and use a lot, but was thinking about something else for daytime / work.
I have a discount at Mulberry (up to 35%!! :D :D ), but have also been wondering about bags that are well made but not "statement bags" if that makes any sense......the two brands that come to mind are and .....
So, questions!
What bag do you have for every day that you :throb: ? I know it's part personal taste, but I need some inspiration!
I don't really like hardware (the baby gisele was an exception.....no paddingtons please!), heavy chains (so not the stam - Cx don't kill me - yours is *gorgeous*, just not *me*!!), or obvious logos.......anything printed like LV....... :yuck:
Considering my mulberry discount, I've been wondering about a bayswater, as that's quite low key, in the style of Bottega Veneta and Anya Hindmarch, but less eye watering on the prices..... :eek: :faint:
So, any ideas?

Well my everyday is usually a Muji nylon tote or a big Marc Jacobs patent shopper. I also have a Chanel Birkin-size bag in black pebbled leather that I use for my 'smart' work bag but it wasn't cheap. I saw some Anya bags at Bicester Village last week and would have loved one if I'd not bought a jacket instead! They are about £350 or less at Bicester. Not huge but not tiny, and really gorgeous...

and then there's always the chanel cerf. this isn't the best picture but it gives you an idea. i believe it comes with both a double c clasp and a mademoiselle clasp.

Almost every brand will have discreet bags (yes, even LV ;) ) so you should have more than enough choice with budget being your only limit I should imagine. If you dare spend a few days looking through The Purse Forums, that should give you more than enough ideas of what's out there.
Oh and all my bags are everydays bags, I don't wait for any special occasions to use them, it's a waste imo.

mine too, except perhaps that tiny black gucci snakeskin bardot my mother got me years and years ago, i can't even fit my wallet in it so it's not very useful for daytime :lol:
the BV.. they managed to remove most of the stain but it's a bit dry. i need to moisturise it actually but i keep not being bothered to :cmdunno:

white jeans with gold stitching and a silver top with silver shoes???
I've been after white jeans for awhile but the ones I like(and bought) have got faint gold stitching and then have a prominent gold design on the back pockets.
So do you reckon this will affect how versatile they are?

I probably wouldn't, unless the pattern on the back pocket is really, really faint can be covered by the top.
I hate it when they do stuff like this to clothes "to add interest". Maybe you could get a gold top gold shoes :cmdunno:

this thread will probably be pulled soon but just wanted people to look at my sig , ive become involved with the baby loss awareness campaign , and am trying to help raise funds and awareness , as most people know i have had 2 miscarriages , and am doing this to help support women everywhere specifically in memory of my two angels in heaven one of which due date is coming up on 4th may and would like to do this as a way of marking it , the info gives all info

Good for you mate:D I raised some for Tommy's in the year after the twins died, its very rewarding, and helps with the grief.
Another good thing to do is to talk to your hospital re aftercare, I went back with a complaint (long story) but in the end everything was sorted and I gave them lots of tips for parents on how to deal with things afterwards, they said it was really good as they never get feedback.
They have changed some of their systems now so I know I have helped future Mums and Dads in some way :hug:
