Oh my god! One of the bags was the most gorgeous chocolate brown slouchy leather bag!!!!! It has a bit of plaster splattered on it but I can clean that right off :yay:
He also took me shopping and I got a to die for gypsy skirt from Etam and sequinned ballet pumps for his brothers wedding, as well as a pale blue Kate vest (£4 NL), a bright green jumper (£7 DP) and the most gorgeous low rise vintage wash jeans!!!

It always makes me nervous when something like that happens - the other day I wandered into my local charity shop and one of the little old ladies behind the counter said she really liked my big Sienna-esque floppy brown hat. It's completely ageist, of course - no reason why she shouldn't have perfectly good fashion sense - I just worry now that I look like a granny!
My mum tends to approve my outfits too, but I don't mind it from her - she's got a great eye for colour and gets thoroughly excited whenever we go clothes shopping (I always spend more money when I'm with her!). Recently she was even persuading my sister to try wearing pretty vests over T-shirts!
Oh, and I'm jealous of your bag!

I've never had birkenstocks before and was wondering if it's true that you have to go a size down. I've got pretty narrow feet but length-wise they're a 6!

I have a pair of thong type flip-flops- can't rem the style name - bought them from their website. Have a look there can't rem the site but its in German. They have everything ever made by birkenstock on it and different widths as well.
Anyway my ones were my second pair. I wore the first pair backpacking for 2 years and lived in them. :bow:I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. :bow: They are THE most comfy shoes ever.

I have a pair of mens birkenstocks which i wear all the time (when its not too cold) they did hurt for a couple days of wearing but once they adapt to your feet they are the bestest and comfiest shoes - it was quite hard getting me out of them for winter !:) i am going to get some girls ones when i can find a decent site that sells them at a sensible price......any recs?

Lol well my suggestion probably wouldnt have been much help then :o I would try skate/alternative shops - I was going to suggest Afflecks Palace in Manchester who have all kinds of baggy jeans (some just nice anti fit some scary skirt for each leg type :D) so you might want to look for somewhere similar
