Bag
I'm looking for a new bag, which is suitable for every day use - either for work, or casual. It needs to be big enough that I can carry around a book, plus my usual bits and pieces (gloves, keys, wallet, phone and sometimes camera) but all the big bags I've seen look ridiculously huge! Ideally I want something I can wear over my shoulder, not with carry handles.
I saw a lovely beige suede one on eBay, from Accessorize, but I missed the end of the auction and it's not in the shops.
I'm a high street girl, so no designer recs, but has anyone seen anything that would fit the bill?

Re: Bag
I saw a nice one from Warehouse in Marie Claire for £40 - its big slouchy, has a shoulder strap and is real suede!
Answer:
Ooh, that sounds nice - I'll check it out.
And thanks for answering! :)
Can you help me find some boots?
NO.2. ask :
Can you help me find some boots?
I'm looking for a pair of black pointy boots with a small heel, no more than 2 inches.
I'd like either a wedge or kitten heel.
I can't seem to find any.
My budget is only £50 (i'm skint)
Has anyone seen any?
Answer:
Try Miss Selfridge as they had some nice pointy black boots in the sale the other day with a very low kitten heel. Failing that, New Look are always worth a try if you're on a budget.
Answer:
I picked up a bargainiferous pair of ankle length black boots with pointy toe and very small (2 inches max) kitten heel and some interesting details in Clarkes for   £34.99 !!! They are super comfy because they have padding inside the leg around the ankle bit.
The details is a small strap and silver buckle across the back and the toe shape stitching looks a bit like victorian period boots. I bought them the other day because my feet were hurting walking to a meeting and I have worn them every day since they are soooooo comfortable.
if you're looking for knee-high boots clarkes had some wedge ones but they were more round-toed and casual looking. House of Fraser had some Kurt Geiger shoes but I think they were more than £50 when I bought a pair a couple of weeks ago.

I can't find a black evening dress for love nor money!
Girls....ive posted a couple of times re a black tie wedding im going too..all i want is a simple black sexy number and i can't find one anywhere..!!!!!!!!!!
If anyone has seen a black dress anywhere please let me know - have looked in the obvious places such as karen Millen and Coast but to no avail!
I may have to wear black trousers top...is that ok for a black tie? feel like i should be in a dress.
Thanks :)

Re: I can't find a black evening dress for love nor money!
Personally, I wouldn't wear a black dress to a wedding anyway, even a black-tie one (at least not without the permission of the bride), but that's just me. There are one or two nice black-tie dresses in Debenhams or Monsoon (including some black ones).
I think a tuxedo (with a gorgeous camisole top) would make an acceptable substitute, paired with beautiful shoes and accessories. I'm not sure though about black trousers and a top, at least not without seeing the outfit. What a lot of help I am

Answer:
Thanks Geek_Kitten. I generally wouldn't wear a black dress to a wedding but alot of the other girls are. I was going to go quite 'glam' with lots of nice accessories. All the boys are going in Tux's so i did want a nice glam dress.
I have however seen a gorgeous top in Karen Millen, its black halter neck with brigtht pink embroyded flowers around the neck, so thought of wearing that with some nice black trousers and some strappy shoes!!
Weddings are a nightmare!!!
Answer:
Aren't they just...
I don't know about black-tie weddings in that much detail (never having had to dress for one, fortunately!) but my own feeling is that a black top and trousers might just be a little on the informal side - black tie generally means evening dress, which for me means dresses or tuxs. But I could well be wrong, and the KM top sounds lovely!
I don't know what style of dress you're looking for, but there's a nice black floaty strapless dress by Jasper Conran on the Debenhams webpage. There are one or two others there too, so it might be worth a look (if you haven't already).

Thanks G_K...i think a dress is better for black tie as well. I have looked on the debenhams website and found them a little frumpy to be honest - maybe i'll go in there its sometimes hard to see on websites! x
