Answer:
Could you  put grey with them or am I going mad..I'm looking at them thinking could it work...
Answer:
Do you think? I'm completely clueless, I seem to have lost any sense of style I may have ever posessed this week :head:
And ability to spell seems to be going rapidly downhill as well! :p
Answer:
yeah I think it might be a way to put a casual touch to them...I can imagine them with a soft pale grey perhaps something similar to your oversize tee but in a grey.... stumped for shoes tbh :cmdunno: think you're probably right with the ballet pumps though...
oh oh you could put brown with them as well although perhaps a bit autumnal yet??
Answer:
Maybe . . .
And maybe brown heels woudl work  It's the shoes I'm stuck with for a night time look - do you think these might work . . . zarashoes.jpg - Image - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Should I buy some UGGs?
NO.2. ask :
Should I buy some UGGs?
Hi girls,
I'm really tempted to buy some short Ugg boots, as they look so comfy and warm, but it seems like they've been around for ages and I am scared that a) they'll go out of fashion the minute I buy them, and b) people might look at them as being "chavvy" as there are copies in every cheap shoe store. OK, I know I'm being shallow ;) :)
Any thoughts?

Answer:
Honestly? I'd say no, if you haven't got them already.
I saw a burly builder type bloke striding bandy-legged through Shepherd's Bush wearing Ugg boots with trackie bottoms the other day. To me, this spelled o-v-e-r.
Unless you live in Lapland or somewhere else where snuggly/snowy clothes are likely to be in fashion for a while to come.
Answer:
Definately, I adore uggs!
I don't think their chavvy - all depends on how you wear them.
I think they're gorge and they keep your tootsies warm. Great for huge shopping trips as you stay comfortable.
I especially like the Chestnut ones.:)
Answer:
buy them if you want them - i love mine - but i would say buy the real thing - i bought a copy pair first and then real Uggs and the real ones are worth the extra dosh.
I wouldn't worry about the "what people think" bit - just buy it - who makes these bloody rules up anyway;)

Well said. It's a rule I use all the time - I don't care what people think now, as long as I like it. :yay:
Making a denim skirt...
NO.3. ask :
Making a denim skirt...
...from an old pair of jeans?
A while ago I saw an article in a magazine which told you how to make denim mini from a pair of unwanted jeans.
I have a couple of pairs that are a bit worn out looking round the knee and hem and I was wondering whether anyone saw the article or if anyone knows how to do this?
Hope you can help!:p
Answer:
You'll need:
Old pair of jeans (natch)
Scissors
Seam ripper, if you can lay your hands on one
Needle and thread or sewing machine
Cut the legs off. Don't cut too much at this stage, as you may want to hem the skirt, and it's best to try it on as a skirt before deciding how long you want it to be. Somewhere just above the knee should do for now. You'll be chopping more off later.
Using the seam ripper (this bit can be done with a pin, needle or scissors, but a seam ripper is much faster and easier) undo the inside leg seams and the crotch seam at the front to the bottom of the zip.
Lay it out flat and pin the right front piece over the left to form a skirt front. The front hem will have a gap as the legs sit further apart than they did as jeans. You can fill it with a bit of denim from the cut off legs. Sew by hand or with a machine.
Turn it over and pin the back legs with one over the other and sew the back of the skirt. Make sure that there's no wrinkles at the bum where the two pieces meet.
Try it on and, if at all possible, get someone else to mark the hem for you. Solo hem marking is an exercise in getting it wrong, in my experience. Cut it off at the markings if you want to leave it unhemmed or and inch below if you want to hem it.
And bob's your uncle, you've got a denim mini. Enjoy :D

Petite Shirts - cheapish?
NO.4. ask :
Petite Shirts - cheapish?
anyone know where i can get some reasonable quality petite shirts from at not too unreasonable a price? I don't want to spend ideally more than £20 a shirt as I need to buy quite a few....hate buying clothes for work!
Answer:
Next and Dorothy Perkins spring to mind. I'm just about to order this one from Next:
http://order.next.co.uk/page.asp?b=X35p=68o=1
(Half sleeve stretch stripe shirt in Neutral - £16.99)
Tried it on in store at the weekend and it fit really nicely! I think it's available in petite too. :)
Answer:
They do petite shirt in topshop and miss selfridge... reasonable value but I couldn't tell you what they're like. Sorry that's not much help.
my new here??
NO.5. ask :
my new here??
Of course I don't neeed a new here, but I can always find a good reason to buy one anyway.
This time, reason being; I can't order my Joni from the HK bag lady yet as my swatches haven't come, and my dad is currently in a tunisian hospital with pneumonia enduring the holiday from hell - and during times of stress, the only thing I know how to do is SHOP
So, here it is...
It's a bit roxy-esque but still, me likes.
my mind is a scramble- should I keep it or take it back?
Answer:
I like it, I'd keep it. It would look great with jeans especially.
Hope your dad gets better soon. :)
Answer:
How big is it??
Answer:
about 14" by 8"
it feels like very soft supple leather, even though it's synthetic (I can't stand the feel of the some of the fake-leather rubber on some bags!). The colour is actually a bit deeper than it looks in the pic too. H :)
Answer:
