Mysterious pain in neck~
For about a year now, I've had pain right below both of my ears.
It's on and off throughout the day, every day. There's no swelling or anything, it just hurts. It's kind of a dull-yet-sharp throbbing pain that's annoying more than anything.
PS. I don't think it's my jaw - I don't grind my teeth or clench them or anything like that.

Probably would be a good idea to be seen by your physician to see why you have this pain, and he can refer you to the proper specialist for treatment.

Well, I just wanted to see if it was worth getting checked out. I already have a bunch of stuff to do this summer (I attend my first semester of college in the fall) and don't really have the time for bunches of doctor appointments. I already have to have my wisdom teeth taken out this summer, and also have to have surgery for Alternating Exotropia. I have tons of things to do, so I won't have alot of extra time.
On a completely unrelated note, what is nitrous oxide like? They're going to use it on me for my wisdom teeth extraction (I won't be put to sleep...sigh..). I've never had dental work done before, so I don't know what laughing gas is like. Does it make people a bit loopy, or just numb?

Hi Hoshi,
impossible to say from here but I'd start quessing from your jaw (even if you think it is not involved). I think it it worth getting checked out if it bothers you.
