Ask:
Kidney issue?
Nearly 3 years ago I was having severe pains in my left side after what was about 1-2 weeks of small to moderate amounts of blood in my urine. The pain was not constant and lasted about 30-120 seconds at a time but was again, very severe. I thought maybe it was a kidney stone, as I remember that episode of Seinfeld when Kramer had one, and it was apparent the pain was moving further away from my kidney into the lower area of my abdomen. I started drinking a boat load of water and after about an hour I went to the emergency room as I could not stand the pain any longer. The ER MD said it was probably a kidney stone and I most likely passed it [the pain stopped after being in the emergency room for about 20 minutes]. I was given a shot for pain and sent on my way. I don't have any insurance so they are still waiting for that $400.
Since then I have what I describe as sporadic 'pressure' around the area of my kidney and sometimes I get a sharp pain that lasts just a few seconds. It is quite uncomfortable when I do feel it [the pressure] and I feel it whether I am laying down or sitting. About the only time it is not as uncomfortable is when I lay on my left side. As of late I have been getting the same 'pressure' on the right side [about the area of my right kidney] although not as intense as the left and it sometimes I get that quick sharp pain that last just a few seconds. The right side is very sporadic and not as noticeable.

Kidney issue?
Hello,
You really should make an appointment with your Dr. to be completely examined and a referral to a urologist if needed.
Good Luck
