tingling and numbness in left fingers

Ask:
tingling and numbness in left fingers
I've been experiencing lots of tingling and numbness in my left fingers for several months now. All my fingers except the pinky are affected. It is driving me crazy with worry. The numbness is there all day usually and during the night while I sleep my whole left arm is achy. It almost feels like I'm not getting proper circulation. I try to shake my arm to see if it helps but it doesn't. Sometimes my left leg and toes can the numbness sensation too but not often. Also, I find that when I feed my son the bottle, my hand gets numb just by holding it for several minutes. Can anyone help me? I'm going to see my family doctor about this next week so maybe she'll send me to a specialist.
