My CT scan done at the hospital due to my kidney stones showed I had a few sigmoid diverticuli. What does that mean? I have had blood in my bowels and vomiting blood. Could that have something to do with why? I read online & to my understanding it's something to do with too much pressure in the colon & can cause blood in your bowels. My colonoscopy was fine. Could this have been caused by the laxative prep from the colonoscopy & actually nothing to do with why I'm vomiting blood? I so don't understand this. I have 3 kidney stones with left hydronephrosis and distention of the right ureter. Can kidney problems bring on such a problem?

Yes I vomitted blood again. My doctor decided not to find out why. I don't know why she chose to do that but I was really scared & upset about it. Especially when I knew her reasons for explaining why this was possibly happening to me wasn't so. But my anxiety really went out of control. She had me to do 3 more stool samples & rechecked my hemoglobin. I also sent a note with the stool tests letting her know I puked up blood again, incase it can be analized. I am going back to see her in July. So she's keeping an eye on me at least.
I basically cannot eat without my esophagus & epigastric area hurting, having chest pain all of time, regurgitating on anything I eat, & staying nauseas. I just know the bleeding from my upper GI tract is because of my esophagus. I don't think that's from sigmoid diverticuli, whatever that is.
My hemoglobin is decreasing from the test I saw from the ER but I am still not anemic. My WBC's & granulocytes were high & my lymphocytes were low (but nothing extreme).
Both times when I ate today, my kidney pain got extremely worse. That doesn't make much sense. Thanks for the website link, I'll go read it now.

I had a severe attack of pain for about an hour. I had a bowel movement & it all didn't come out & my left side about killed me until it did. I screemed & cried the entire time. I don't think the stent is the only thing hurting me. Is this a typical symptom of diverticulitis? I also had extreme pain from peeing all day up until after this bowel movement was over with. Now it's not hurting me. That is really weird. Could that be a fistula? Maybe that would explain why the laxatives hurt my urinary tract so bad.
