hi Dr Joshua,
i am 24 yrs old married women, after one year of marriage i got pregnant, but had a misscariage in week 5 of pregnancy, anyway, two weeks later i got sore throat and when it did not go away like 10 days i went to an internal doctor she examined me and said that i have two small lymph nodes in the back of my nick (one on each side) and 2 very very small in the groin area beside a very small one above my collar bone, any way beside the sore throat i had ear etching and mild pain that comes and go, and also sculp etching beside a troubled stomach. she did some test for me then she said i had ebv virus (vca-19 and abna were positive) two days later i called her for the rest of the result she said that it seems that i had cross activation as herpes simples virus 2 was positive beside rubella which i am immuned against (got it when i was young) i told her that i don't have sympotms for any of these last two viruses she said (you don't have them it is just a cross activation that might happen). so she said to make sure that i have mono i should test 5 weeks later to find out if ebv became positive as igg (she did not do mono test for me) anyway i could not waite so 2 weeks later after the symptoms were gone i did the tests again in another hospital , ebv was positive as igg, herpes simplex virus 2 was positive as igg, rubella was positive as igg and one new virus joined the party as i tested also positive for cmv as igg as well the mono test was negative. i am soooo worried that it could be cancer and not cross activations as the doctor and the lab doctor said. pleaaaaaaase answer me quickly i am sooooo worried i cannot eat i cannot sleep if not cancer what other thing might cause all of these viruses that i did not have symptom for!!! my blood count is good as well as the white blood cells but the lymphocyte was alittle bit low in the first test the second test it was very normal, does this mean that my immune system is weak, my husbend is 100 % healthy so i did not get herpes or anything from him, please i am waiting for your answer

forgot to tell you that i took the mono test exactly 37 days after i first got the symptoms beside the doctors did hiv test for me and ofcourse it is negative, my diohrea is very bad my doctor keep saying it is because i am sooo worried, please ansewer me quickly

hi there now i am worried about hiv, i have zero risk factor, but while searching the net i read that false positive IgM serologies is indication of early infection of hiv, pleaaaaaase help, i went again for test recently after 3 months of being sick and it came out negative i also demanded a test for the virus it self beside the elisa test and it came out negative, i am heartbroken i am very scared that i might got it without knowing and transferred it to my beloved husbend (tested negative as well) he has no symptoms, please help i am crying now, i feel like i am going to die

hi, i read this webpage once in awhile and i noticed your post. i can see why you would be scared, but you are under a dr's care, correct? did he or she or they mention cancer? cancer is the scariest thing you could imagine having, i oughtta know cuz i search the net for symptoms myself and what you find can make you even more scared, and being scared can make your symptoms worse.
HIV ranks right up there with cancer. i can tell you, you might not find solace or the answers that you want on the internet, the best bet is to keep in touch with your doctors, but thats just my opinion, i hope things work out for you.
